Does anyone kno a free recording program to record matches in MW2? I have tried FRAPS and X-fire but they make me lag. And i dont have the money to buy full version of FRAPS. I have also tried Wegame but it wouldnt work. Any thought, links, ideas?

IW has been making games for the PC community and KNOWS WHAT THE PC COMMUNITY WANTS. Of course they won't go "Activision raised the prices. They wanted us to do the matchmaking," because then Activision would ignroe them and work with another team.

In recent interviews Activision said they are looking to pay to play for the CoD series ON BOTH CONSOLES AND PC. That's right, pay to play. Pay to play isn't possible on dedicated servers, but it is on matchmaking. Activision gets most of the profits and they increased prices for the PC MW2. Publishers have much control over game developer teams. That being said, Activision must have wanted IW to make matchmaking for PC so they can do pay to play for future CoD games

I still support dedicated servers and mods but IWnet isn't this bad, it's very smooth and extremely enjoyable.

usually i like hosting, thats how everything is smooth. But many many many times i played with other hosts, and host migration isn't too common. I always see good connections and so do my friends. so idk lol :P

@thesarkster They would have figured this out, if they had done testing outside the US, I doubt they ever even tested it outside their own studio. All the comments from 402 about the PC mp being 'smooth' were probably when they were playing on their lan at work...

What upsets me more is not that they ignored users, but that they refused to do something extremely easy and simple to implement.

As it stands, it seems like IWnet matches people at random.

I agree with you, I have had similar experiences with MW2. I changed the config so there are 10 ping bars, at 20ms intervals. You can clearly see who the host is, most poeple are pinging over 200ms, and very few inbetween. Its a very shoddy way of implementing multiplayer. I stinks of corporate greed and a lazy console port.
