It is 9 years now... My country is now grieving for a politician who took all the credit from people who kicked out the communists. Fk them! Joe is the one I mourn.
Jesus christ Joe ,you signed out years to early amigo..........now all we have is F****** bieber and Ga ga . if there is an after life play me some tunes when and if i get there.R.I.P
such a damn good song i love all the clash songs! Joe Strummer was such an amazing musician and song writer and singer and so was Mick and Paul and Topper, the other clash stuff was kinda still good after, but Joes other bands are all good too.....man..... music and Joe Strummer RIP
he thought gansterism and pimping acceptable far from a heroic rebel he'd turn pale and losing his nerve in panic he heard your boyfriend was the guy he knew with the muscles who might beat him up. such a snob he'd talk normal to me but mockey (phoney working class) to my working class boyfriend. I'm just working class educated, he tried to bring me to fucking Lord Bono's, and me a respectable revolutionary who would only be in a room with George Bush if it was an assination attempt.
WOW this guy was....well for me "is" the man who make me understand how good is the world of the music...I didn't knew him..but down here I listen almost everyday a song of The Clash...thanks for all the music you left in this world....Thank you so much man!
His departure from this world was anything but sad. That's my only dispute with this video. The song (and his music catalog ) said it all; as has a lot of stuff that has come before.
still too hard to talk off him as gone...he was my teacher....he taught me more about life than any school teacher...me and my children will keep him with us forever...our religion is strummerism
now i found it ... nice work on this m8 ... pity it wasnt released ... i never thaught about it being around at christmas but it has got that ghostly christmas feel to it hasnt it .... it could of got big in the charts.
ive watched this vid atleast 50 times and it makes me misty everytime...joe stands until all those who were touched by him fall...the song was an old rebel one..,cheers to ya joe...R.I.Punk
I love this song. It always held something mystical in it for me. I could picture the dancers and the battle field. Joe Strummer was the first person who said something that actually hit me and changed my life. It was at the end of the documentary, The future is Unwritten, (if you haven't seen it, go see it now) and he's my biggest hero and inspiration and I cried for four days after he died.
Amazing tune. Amazing. A band that can makes songs so different from each other but still incredibly great like this one, White Riot, Stay Free, Bankrobber, London Calling, Police and Thieves, Rock the Casbah, The Street Parade, Jimmy Jazz etc.
Well, such a band is truly in my mind the greatest band ever.
I not familiar with this tune the opening bars sounds like something you hear around the holidays. Im already in love with it not something you expect from the clash
What really pisses me off is how overlooked a lot of the best clash songs are... for every "London Calling", there's 10 songs so much better. RIP Joe... may you live on through your music.
why is there a add with techno playing before a joe strummer song?

I danced to the song of a voice of a girl
A voice that called "Stand till we fall
we stand till all the boys fall."
I love this song so much and at the same time, it makes me so incredebly sad.

Excellent choice of song as well, one of my favourites from the Sandanista album.
