The red guys are the Terran Dominion. Prince Valerion's troops in the Dominion worked with Raynor on the assault on Char. Earlier in the story they were enemies though.

@keremcantarhan One good reason is the fact that the number of believers diminishes. Give it 500 years and its likely that there wont be many believers to speak of. Another reason would be that Terrans are descendants of the worst criminals, which are hardly caring parents that would teach their kids to fall on their knees and give money to those who beg for it on their loved one's funeral. It's a story, there is infinite number of reasons why they shouldn't be religious.

By the way I am atheist but it is too impossible if religion is abolished even from the far future, the vatican is even more powerful than ever.
