  • Great track from their best record

  • Man I could quote this whole song.. Its so amazing!

  • I don't wanna go down like she did..

  • Most dont know what this songs about ...Its actually about one of my best friends Bub Cadwalder ...he was dying of cancer ....his job was as a dumptruck driver here in me and Shannons hometown of Lafayette Indiana

  • This song is so bad ass. I love the lyrics. "Religously they seem to sin buy sell trade for amens!"

  • Nothings ever gonna come between my dump truck and me.

  • "And I can't understand why something

good's got to die before we miss it"

  • damn. i miss shannon hoon. anytime a person of unusually intense talent is lost way too early you're left wondering "what if". with shannon hoon, you know just how profoundly different the music scene would be today were he still alive.

  • Schneider10101 is right! It's all fake, super processed shit and it is stopping bands like this one (which is real talent) from breaking thru the scene. Shame on all of you that buy into that crap out there.

  • @hollywoodjay09 PREACH BRUTHA (or Sista) PREACH. People have no idea what music is supposed to be nowadays. There's no artistic expression, it's all about bitches, money, cars, and really expensive booze. No one cares about how much paper you stack, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?!

  • @hollywoodjay09 they don't even buy the albums they just download them. it's all bullshit anyway. love live blind melon!

  • Shanoon Hoon was one of the most phenomonal musicians of my lifetime.

  • Cesar and Sjk, you guys have nailed it on the head! If this record had come out today, it would have swept the music scene like a summer storm. As it was, in 1995/96 the record was deemed a "downer" in comparison to the "fun" first record, and it was not a big success either critically or commercially. However in recent years it seems to have enjoyed something of a renaissance, and in some quarters Soup is considered one of the great rock records of all time.

  • @Vortigern99 you tell them Noah!

  • LOL Just spreading the truth, Amy!

  • @Vortigern99 I love yas bro

  • @Vortigern99 totally agree..the "Fun" first record especially "No rain" which is the only song I can't stand from them is the most popular in a sense but the worse..I really hate that song...lol...but soooo love everything else they play... especially the Soup album....one of those albums you press play and that's it...let it to it's thing...

  • @bubbamackdaddy69 ahh come on that song is perfect. I love the melody and riff. The music video is good too. So bright and cheery. But they were an all around great band. Unique sound, had something about the past to it yet something that everyone was not quite ready for. I am stumped why they weren't bigger than they were.. I just don't get it. They shouldn't have been a one hit wonder and they sure aren't for me.

  • @bubbamackdaddy69 hey man i love everything about this band, soup was an outstanding and they shouldnt have just been known for no rain, but it's still a good song

  • @Vortigern99 It's easily my favorite record they did, and in the top 10 favorite albums of all time.

  • @Vortigern99

I find them more comparable to music and bands from before their time

  • @Vortigern99 IMO opinion, one of the great bands of all time. I find that most professional musicians I know are the biggest fans. The talent was right through the whole band, not just Shannon. He was hard to see past though, being a once in a life time talent himself.

  • @Vortigern99 is it really considered one of the best albums ever? I've seen seen anything or heard anybody say that it was

  • @ranmore30 Well, I did say "in certain quarters"... and at least 15 people on youtube seem to agree with me! ;-D

  • what can you say really...this isthe shit....he was just ahead of his time.....if this came out know they would be be so huge...my oponion

  • Yes, they were ahead of their time. But so were a lot of bands around this time. I'm 37 now, so take away 15 years, and I was right smack in the middle of all this...music. I'l put it against any of the shit out there today(with a few exceptions). Peace!

  • People don't know anything about music these days. It's not about talent, it's about fashion. :/ That's my opinion, and I'm not happy about it either.

  • @Schneider10101 comment's pretty gay

  • @bukk3t agreed lol

  • @Schneider10101 Shannon was very fashionable look at him at woodstock he loooked better than most women:)

  • @guitarlvrify I'd like to see Blind Melon as Folk Rock for Grungers. They weren't Grunge, but they were sort of on the cusp of it. It appeals to Grungers. I think Shannon adhered to that similar sort of anti-fashion (which ironically was exploited by the high street). I don't think that if Shannon were alive, he'd want anything to do with the 21st Century just as I don't.

  • @Schneider10101 Cool I got ya

  • @Schneider10101 maybe just mainstream musi...but there is alot and i mean monster talent out there......coheed and cambria for example.

  • o shit !!!this is progressive grundge !sounds powerful!

  • Shannon was SO full of passion... it's really stunning...

  • fun song on guitar

  • i love their musik

and this song is older than me *lol*

  • i can't understand why someth

ing good's got to die before we miss it.... great song thanks for the props, man. now, just a little bit more... :)
