  • This is the 5th recipe of yours that I have tried. THANK YOU, I'm so lucky to have found your channel on YouTube!! The meal was a home run with my husband and so very picky eater of my 2 beautiful kids. This was super easy too!! I'm making your fish stock as I type this too, can't wait to make the cioppino on Saturday!!!

  • I've just cooked this for my Husband, and it's so delicious. Easy, inesxpensive, I made it over a pasta.......

  • I like to put the lemon in the microwave for about 30 seconds n when u cut it open the juice just bursts out of it! then squirting the juice in upside down so i catch all the seeds

  • I cooked the recipe today . instead of salt i put garlic salt . I do not have white wine but just use rice wine . I added parmesan cheese ha!ha!ha! it is so so good !!

  • @iloveemaad You don't have to use wine at all you can just leave it out. It just adds flavor to the sauce. it tastes good either way.

  • @123ghghgh123 YES! As she said it's about the sauce, and trust me, without the wine the sauce is gone. Don't worry about the alchohol, it'll be cooked off completely before you even add the shrimp. IMHO

  • @123ghghgh123 Well there won't be any alchohol left is what I'm saying since it evaporates and you won't be drinking it anyway. Us baptists don't like alchohol either, even though no where in the bible does it say you can't drink alchohol. And yet Jesus turned water into wine, lol. It doesn't really make sense. So you don't get shunned by your community waybe just try a lemon butter sauce then with garlic. It'll still taste good, just not the same as this recipe.

  • @DennisSo071152 you wait until it's pink all the way through and then take it off the heat because it will actually continue to cook while it's still hot. That way they will stay juicy and you'll never over-cook them. Try it a couple to three times and write down the cooking time and next to it what you think about it, for example too dry or too raw and then pick teh best one and use it. Hope I helped.

  • I tried this and was a disaster. I used margin instead of butter, and didn't turn out well.

    I seriously believe scampi requires some skill or unknown talent, was never able to create a good scampi like red lobster.

  • @PGHolmes google margerine, it's man made and it's aweful. Some things we cook with (like Laura said, the cheese she uses is about 15.00 a pound and when you google the type of cheese that she uses u will see why it's so expensive. Butter is the same, can't use cheap ingredients and expect great results

  • ahh yay shrimp scampi! you should do more vids like this of dishes we'd find at american-ized italian restaurants (::cough:: olive garden ::cough::) but of course you'd do it the real fresh genuine italian way! (the only way you know how lol!)

  • the shrimp i can easily get from the supermarket is pink and small (smaller than the one you used) and when I put the shrimps into a frying pan the shrimps they get even smaller. How long do you recommend to fry shrimps?
