Machiavellian Political Philosophy is Psychopathic. Machiavellianism is for sociopaths prue and simple it may have worked in the past but as in the information age evolves The sociopaths political behavior will be found out a punished.
@NewWorldEconomics I'm afraid you're terribly wrong and it is clear that you've never actually read any of Machiavelli's works yourself, particularly the Discourses on Livy. One of Machiavelli's main tenants is that the nature of man has not changed over the ages, hence why he utilizes ancient history to illustrate why events are happening in the present and what possible outcomes the future may bring. Machiavelli is anything but a psychopath. His main goal was establishing a true republic.
@NewWorldEconomics The establishment of a republic involves a Prince who may have to commit terrible deeds in order to begin the ascending process of building a true republic. Study the myth of Romulus and Remus. Machiavelli praises Romulus (founder of Rome) precisely because he was able to do what was necessary in order to usher in a peaceful form of government that lasted nearly 500 years. Too many people jump to conclusions without doing any real research for themselves.
@NewWorldEconomics lmao.. how very naive... it is power and force that runs the world it always has... and absent some massive ideological and perhaps even physical evolution of the species... it always will.
In the information age 15th and 16th century Machiavellian Political Philosophy no longer works.This Psychopathic Philosophy hidden under the disguise of Political Pragmatism; breeds Sociopaths in politics.These people are soon found out for example: the 9/11 demolition murders and the War Iraq that followed . The New World leader must have a internalized Ethic and not this Psychopathic philosophy. As the new Economics and Ethics Evolves there are ways to punish these psychopathic offenders.

Power and force? What drives those is greed and pride. Pride is a good thing until applied to the idea of eugenics and genocide

@growchron
That's how it came across to me and like many realists are closet idealists trying to explain how the world is if we do strive for a higher order.

Machiavellianism is an art in manipulation and using people fueled by pure ambition.
