well go pro ,just maybe you should be specific in your cam instructions , NO CARD COMES WITH CAM. HERE IS HOW YOU FORMAT CARD OR CAM WILL FORMAT CARD. you know customer does not know . LCD BACKPACK NEEDS FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD , YES NO , MAYBE. ''would you like an idiot to write your manuals i am available for free.
Lovely product. Took one picture with it and it turned into a brick. Software bug, apparently. If you put a flash card in the cam that is not formatted by the camera, the software goes into a coma.
[sarcasm]Thanks for the heads up in your product documentation GoPro![/sarcasm]
@fuzzynormal This is not documented because it has not occurred before. I can honestly say that I have never heard of this. Normally it just will not do anything. Have you contacted the support team on our site?
@fuzzynormal GoPro's take standard SD cards, not flashcards. It also takes a second to automatically format an SD card before it allows you to take pictures or videos. And yes, I agree with you, it is a lovely product.
Perhaps. Basic grammar skills and reading comprehension are a plus too; helps with that whole communication thing people do.
The basic fact remains is that when I took their camera out of the box it took one image and then stopped working. Why bother with a product that requires firmware updating, or a call to tech support just to get it to turn on? I got better things to do.
They're not the only product on the market. I now have a different cam and I like it.
worked great, big props to the GoPro support team! ;)

@fuzzynormal Your comment proves why why parents should keep their children away from the computer... and their GoPros...
Firmware update to use LCD back is a no brainer, if you have basic computer skills.
