The main reason for this latest round of massive reform & disruption is, of course, the shockingly cavalier operations of the banking sector. Inevitably, caught up in the backwash are the IFAs, who are to a large extent innocent, when you remember that IFAs have 80% of the distribution of financial products, but cause less than 2% of the complaints to the FOS.
It's nice to hear an expert in the field lay it on the line. Scary how many similarities there are between this situation and that in the US--the continuing attack by government upon private enterprise.
You are right in what you say.
It needs saying and perhaps Mr Hoban should meet with you?
