I never really watched the show growing up, but I rented one of the sets from the library and now I own about 14 of the boxsets (9 from the Rhino series, and 5 from the Shout! series) as well as the essential set and the movie.

What is the episode where Pearl kills Dr. Forrester? Plus, when Crow says "I'm different" does he mean someone else is doing his voice cuz Trace left? Who does it now?

In the First episode of Season 8, Pearl gives a long monologe about how she killed her son and how she ended up in the future. We dont see it happen, cause that would require entire commited episodes, and a budget, which MST is too good for.

As for the "Im diffrent" line. I dunno, might be the new voice thing, or the fact that he's the "wisecracker" robot.

Yes it's basically because Trace left the show and now Bill Corbett was doing Crow's voice. He did it well but at the beginning Crow did sound very different because of this. The gag was that they were at the edge of the universe for 500 years between Season 7 & 8, and when they got back, they noticed Crow was "different."

Ladies and gentlemen, my childhood...I watched it for the last four or so seasons, but I remember this take on the theme most fondly for some reason. And as much as I enjoy Joel's seasons, Mike is the one I grew up watching.

I watched the "MST3K -- the Movie" early this morning on HBO. It is mildly amusing at best, buttttt ....

Maybe that's because I got hooked on PEARL, PROFESSOR BOBO, and OBSERVER ... all of whom were missing from the feature film. It was good to get back to this opening theme and see my OLD PALS ! !
