I have worked for the VA for 29 years. After Hurricane Katrina, I really saw the value of the computerized chart. We took care of everyone that came through the door. If you were ready for your first chemo or dialysis and the flood happened, and you didn't have ALL your medical records on you, you were seriously out of luck. Our vets' information was readily available. Every hospital system has problems believe me. The VA is so large, we do great things, but only the negatives r reported.

If the VA is hiring why is the job application so complex that you need a professional to fill it out?
I am a Certified Nurse Assistant, not stupid at all, but still haven't figured out how to fill the on-line application out...ugh!

If you are proud to work at the VA, then you need to get some serious help. I finally figured out what the VA is, other than just a sham: it's a continuum of MK-ULTRA. If a veteran as health problems from, say, the anthrax shots, does the VA treat the health problems? NO! The VA, instead, tries to compartmentalize the veteran's feelings, and drug that vet up with an LSD derivative (e.g., prozac, zoloft), while completely neglecting the real health problem.
