Lydia is mainstream. the only reason that they havn't had big success is because they had shitty advertising for their album. they're music is mainstream in nature they just didn't make it. there is plenty of other good bands like Lydia that have mainstream appeal but just won't get big.

lydia is one of the BEST lesser-known bands out there.
It saddens me when i ask people around if they've heard lydia and they say 'no'
They are incredible.

exactly. it's the same with bands like brand new - they actually try hard not to break into the mainstream.
otherwise they'd have teenage girls crawling all over them and it'd completely ruin it.

At least this band hasn't gone mainstream because when it does everyone is like "OMGAWD! Lydia is so freakin amazing, etc" you see where I'm coming from? lol.
