Who cares how Sakura acted in the beginning, she was kid, they both were! The point is that she learnt to acknowledge Naruto for who he truly was, and for who he could become. And she did just that. I really like Hinata, but it's also true that her love for Naruto is also self-serving, as he makes her feel like she could be worth something... that's not a bad thing, just a fact. Neither girls are terrible people, just different in their care for Naruto.
i think naruto ends up with hinata because in the manga hinata says " next time Ill be walking by your side holding your hand" and it was a very serious moment...i dont think kishimoto would say that if he was going to make sakura end up with naruto in the end

Personally, I think and hope that hinata and naruto end up together. Why? @wizdiana In hind sight, I do think Hinata would have made a better heroine because of her complex background with Neji, the Byakugan and her clan. However, the fact that she's never given enough "screen presence" makes me question that.
Besides, I do think Sakura's normality works better in the long run, it's more believable as being sort of a polar opposite, or an equilibrium, to Naruto and Sasuke's complex backgrounds. This gives her a motivation that Hinata couldn't really have.

Also, in episode 235 of the anime, Naruto stated that he loves Sakura. He basically says that he hopes he will be with Sakura one day, but if he is not, then it's ok. @sad13511 I'm not against you but when you said that part when Naruto protected Hinata when they were kids in the anime didn't happened at all in the manga, it means that it isn't true and that only the director of Naruto Shippuden added it and was not made by Kishi (author). I really hate the way people just make the name of a mix of two characters just half there names. 'Sasuke' + 'Sakura' = 'Sasusaku' for example. It's ridiculous, think of something original at least, I honestly find it disrespectful to the characters.

-both were rather...introverted and kept to themselves

On a relationship level, Naruto and Sakura have gone through so much together: a promise of a lifetime, understanding one another, making each other grow stronger, supporting each other, and every definition of what it means to be in a true relationship.
Hinata IS much more physically and emotionally attractive than Sakura, I will concede. However, on a storyline perspective and relationship level with Naruto she's lacking heavily.

@ItsM1ck3y Also...my question on the translation is to reference that simply because you see the same word being used for two different statements (aka 'weird' to describe both Kushina and Hinata), it may actually have different meanings upon different translations. Ever heard of the phrase "lost in translation" or play the game of "telephone"? My point: Take translations with a grain of salt. "Weird" may be simply the translator's favoring of Hinata instead of actual translation.

Also, in episode 235 of the anime, Naruto stated that he loves Sakura. He basically says that he hopes he will be with Sakura one day, but if he is not, then it's ok. As long as she's happy, he's happy. So, I believe NaeuHina is now VERY unlikely to happen. Naruto will be with Sakura or no one. That's what he said. Did he say this in the manga? I'm just wonder

@sad13511 I'm not against you but when you said that part when Naruto protected Hinata when they were kids in the anime didn't happened at all in the manga, it means that it isn't true and that only the director of Naruto Shippuden added it and was not made by Kishi (author). Which means you can't use it as a evidence for NaruHina. Honestly speaking that part in the anime only made it worse for me, the manga is better. Don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to say.

The way how Hinata loves Naruto, is so freaking touching me everytime ! I really hate the way people just make the name of a mix of two characters just half there names. 'Sasuke' + 'Sakura' = 'Sasusaku' for example. It's ridiculous, think of something original at least, I honestly find it disrespectful to the characters.

After reading a lot a comments I notice three things
1) this song has so much emotion it burns my chest
2) A lot of people were saved by Naruto including me which makes me realist how big Naruto really is and
