  • @ThaiPakBoy I would recommend trying to order Optimum Nutrition from bodysuppsusa com and see if they will ship to Thailand. Some countries prevent protein products from being imported due to custom and quarantine restrictions.

  • PLEASE ANSWER: I found this powder to be PERFECT until I ran into the "Soy Lecithin Problem" I heard it contains this, and it can be bad for you with estrogen like effects(?) Is this true?   • @Nerevar1990 Though no visible side effects can be felt when taking dosages below 10 to 30 grams of soy lecithin, higher doses have been seen to cause various problems and side effects which include gastrointestinal problems, diarrhea, either weight gain or loss of appetite, rashes, headache, nausea, dizziness, vomiting and unpleasant body odor and bad breath.

  • @mnoy91 Unfortunately, if you want to add muscle, you have to go through a bulking up phase, and then a cutting phase. About 15 minutes prior to your workout, you need a good creatine product and a hydro whey as hydrolyzed whey protein is faster absorbing than a concentrate. Before, during, and after your workout, you should be sipping on a good carb. and BCAA liquid. Immediately following your last set, take another serving of creatine, and hydro-whey...cont. on next post...

  • @mnoy91 ...cont...For about 1 hour following your workout, your body is in an anabolic state, and your muscles are starving for nutrients. During this critical window is when you need to resupply them with a fast-acting protein; i.e. hydrolyzed whey. It should also contain a fair amount of simple sugars (fruit juice) to rapidly shuttle protein to your muscles. You can drink protein all day long, but without a carrier to deliver the nutrients, it's just sitting in your stomach not being utilized.

  • @mnoy91 At nighttime before bed, I take a ZMA to help me recover faster and get better sleep, as well as a serving of the casein protein, which breaks down into it's various amino's at a much slower rate. While you're resting, your body still requires protein, and slower acting casein's are ideal for this. In the morning, immediately drink about 24 oz. of water, and take a good multi-vitamin. You'll add 10-12 lbs. of muscle in no time...that is, if you are also eating right!

  • Hey first off i would like to say that you have a very good video for people out there that are trying to gain weight and bulk up. I actually have one question, which is that right now im 17 yrs old and i weigh 164lbs and want to start to take serious mass, but later on in the future when i get my desired weight should i lay off this stuff and switch to whey protein or should i continue to take serious mass?

  • @tattirules Thanks for the feedback. I try and steer people to products lower in carbs and calories because I believe Serious Mass is to be consumed for short periods of intense bulking up. Try Optimum Pro-Complex, CytoSport Muscle Milk or Monster Milk which are medium carb products and better for you.

  • @bodysuppsvideos: To elaborate on your comment-the product recommendations you gave are insightful, BUT I would not recommend any Muscle Milk products, as they contain high amounts of metals and other toxins. Unfortunately, this is not advertised on their products. While they might taste fairly well, I for one, would not indulge in any product that contains an obscene amount of foreign chemicals; metals included. There are other far superior low-carb products out there. Just have to research.

  • @mandarambotong These products are at the opposite ends of the continuum. Gold Standard is light on carbs but has 75% or so of protein content. Serious Mass is heavy, no make that very heavy on carbs and light on protein. Gold Standard for lean muscle growth, Serious Mass to bulk up.

  • @GTXMAN I think it is two scoops, but it is up to you whether you want to have 1 scoop now and then another scoop later in the day since it is a lot of calories (1250 calories per serve - 2 scoops)

  • @MrMrjake18 - yes it's great because it has 10 different types of protein from quick uptake to slow release, so it will cover your post-workout protein requirements.

    I would also recommend an Amino Acid product such as CytoSport Monster Amino. This works wonders in feeding the muscles with rebuilding aminos and reduces muscle fatigue and general soreness the following day.

    No. Completely disagree. Post workout protein should be fast acting only ideally. I would recommend ON Platinum Hydrowhey, Phormula-1, or VP2. All three of them are hydrolyzed proteins which are the fastest digesting proteins available. Which is exactly what you want. Muscletech products are over priced and ineffective and it really makes me question your credentials that you would recommend it as a post workout protein.

NitroCore 24 is an Optimum Nutrition product which has a Hydrowhey protein, as well as 9 other forms of proteins. You are thinking of MuscleTech Nitro Tech product. I do agree with focusing on a hydrowhey such as the ones you mentioned.

  • @MTVasiaROCKS yeah, that is the down side to really any protein shake. Although if you throw some fruit in with the shake, it takes the stink off the farts. Just get the girl friend or wife drinking some protein shakes, then you can blame each other... LOL!

    Its not just supplements, its eating REAL food. Supplements will never replace food or make u more anabolic than a well balanced meal. Supplements are to be used on top of a good diet. But to answer you're question, if you're a hardgainer take a weight gainer. The best wight gainers in my opinion are "IDS Smartgainer" "pro complex gainer" and "monster mass"

  • taking gainers will out really help that much. If you want to gain weight your gona have to stack on the calories. And consume more than you burn. Im talking eating 5-6 times a day with protein in every meal. The right diet combined with weight lifting can work wonders.

  • Serious Mass has twice the calories of pro-complex gainer (1250 verses 650 cals for pro-complex gainer) so you will gain very quickly with the Serious Mass. Both products have a good protein content (50 g for Serious Mass and 60 g for Pro-Complex Gainer) and the necessary vitamins and minerals. I would personally stick with Pro-Complex Gainer due to limiting the high amount of calories with Serious Mass.

  • I've actually tried all 3 before and I have to go with N.O Shotgun because it was more promising in pumps. N.O Xplode had more sugar in their products but i didn't have pumps at all just iregular sleeping habits. then i went to Muscle tech's black powder where you spend more for less product. It's got a real bad after taste and pumps were there but not long. I enjoyed shotgun because i had a longer pump and also has beta alanine in it.

  • i found it through muscle and body magazine and my friend.....the results were better than anything ive ever gotten before my bench increased like 35lbs in that month)i was taking no explode before workouts and dark matter after and a normal creatine monohydrate on off days) it was actually pretty good i got the fruit punch flavor and the price isnt bad at all

  • Protein is normally a post-workout supplement, but there are different proteins for different purposes. ON 100% is very light in cals so it is good for people training for fast twitch muscle sports, martial arts, boxing, hockey, whereas medium (Pro-complex) and heavy (Serious Mass) are gainers for putting on muscle mass quickly.

    Casein protein is often taken at night for muscle repair.
