the candles actually do work, but that is not ear wax. I have had them done and there is ear wax that comes out well. Some of it is ear wax and some is from the candle.

This isn't earwax; it's residue from the candle itself. If you burn a candle on the table in the end you will find it looks exactly the same as if you had put it in your ear. Not only does this not work, it's also dangerous.

the white stuff isnt the ear wax its the candle, the ear wax will be a yellow/brownish color and usually is in hard little clumps or stuck to the paper

Ear candles are not a hoax or dangerous unless you're a dumbass! People have used them for many years and continue for some reason or another and that's their prerogative ! As others have pointed out, studies have shown that these do not work.

From the other side of things, I work in the waiting lists department of a hospital and can tell you that people have had wax deposited in the ear, sometimes so deep, moulding to the shape of the cavity, that surgery has been required to remove it and can it cause lasting damage.

These are NOT safe to use.

It's also a dangerous practice. It can cause painful and serious harm to one's ear. Consumers have a right to know about these scams especially dangerous ones like ear candling.

No, it really, really isn't.

I tried these on both my ears. One had been cleaned at the doctor with warm water under pressure and the other one was left normal (I had a hair on the eardrum that was causing a constant ticking).

Surprise surprise. Both had about the same material in them.

But you don't have to take my word for it. Learn science. By what force is the wax moved into the container against gravity.

I tried this on my ears and got some pretty cool stuff. Then I closed my hand as tight as I could and pretended it was my ear. SAME RESULTS!!! To make sure I tried it in different ways. I had a small cup of water and just put the end of the candel in and lit it. SAME RESULTS!!! That was the most effective "vacume" sp? experirement you can do. It is a Big Ass SCAM!!!! It is just the wax on the cloth running down on the inside and cooling. Just regular candel effects just drips on the inside.

Get an ear candle and light it without sticking it in youre ear and let it burn down to the line (where marked on the side) and you get the same results. The ear wax left in the bottom of the candle is just residue and soot from the ear candle it self Ear Candling DOES NOT WORK and is BULLSHIT, and anyone who thinks other wise is wsting there money and a gullible dip shit.
