We have a simple problem. There is a pattern ( The original word is tupos, a form that hot metal was poured into to produce the same mold every time). If any group does not follow this New Testament pattern, they are not the one New Testament church. There is very little in the Catholic church that is like the New Testament pattern. How do we know what the world looked like? There were no witnesses, and as I have pointed out before, the geological evidence is at the very least contradictory! Some of it has been dishonestly misrepresented.
There is a mountain of evidence that support the Biblical flood. If you would study the evidence for the Biblical flood it makes much more sense.

What planet are you living on? The theory of evolution is based on chance. First life is built on the idea that some how the right elements, compound and other no-life stuff somehow came together to produce the first living cell.
The problem is that in order to have the firs living cell, we have to have organic amino acids. Anything orgainic has to come from or have the characteristics of life.
How did oxygen, hydrogen, methane, etc. just happen by chance?

No! God created the universe and everything in it in 6 days. There was no first cell, there were first plants (full-grown and functioning with the ability to reproduce) on the third day. So plant cells were first.
Then on the 5th and 6th day God created all the birds, fish and animals (full-grown with the ability to reproduce).
Why would a God with th power to create all this leave it up to unreliable evolution to finish what he started?
Besides, the world is only a stage for God's purpose.

There were only about 20,000 ceremoniat burial stones discovered. About 1/3 of them had accurate dinosaur drawing on them.

Because the fossil record has been intentionally distorted and has inconsistencies. There are misplaced fossils (fossils in the wrong strata), older srata on top of younger strata, mountains that have moved miles without any evidence of shifting.
Carbon dating has been proven to be unreliable andsophisticated man-made objects have been found deep in coal mines that are supposeddto be 300 million years old.
There is more, but this should answer the question.

Another thing that is interesting. Fully developed dinosaurs appeared suddenly in every shape immaginable...with all of the food they needed. How did the plants evolve? How did the no-life stuff like oxygen, nitrogen, minerals,etc. just suddenly appeare at just the righ time to support dinosaur life. How do you know fossils were 520 million years old. There is no way to measure it. Carbon dating is not realiable, which means you have to depend on strata dating. The problem is that the strata are all mixed up...with so-called older strata on top of younger strata.
According to these strata dinosaurs appeared suddenly.

The are water-liad, fossil graveyards thousands of feet thick found all over the world. It would take a huge flood to leave these graveyards. In fact almost all fossils are found in these graveyards.

The only flood in recorded history that covered the world is the Noah flood. There are legends that have come from over 15 cultures in the ancient world that describe a world-wide flood with a Noah like character and his family who put animals into a large boat because God or God's determined to destroy the world. because of sin. They are very similarities to the Bible story and legends generally stem from real events.
There are many verifiable geological proofs of a world-wide flood.
