Droid phones aren't bad either, i like my samsung admire with android more than i liked my iphone...i was really considering the torch though...i'm glad you like it...my family and friends are big on blackberries...i haven't bought one yet....maybe the next one out i'll jump on :)

Fast update - the battery life on the iPhone sucks compared to Torch. The keyboard sucks compared to the Blackberry. The apps are 10X better, and that is part of the fun of having an iPhone - much more fun. I like the screen size better on the Iphone, and its' got more horsepower - faster on everything it does. Love how fast it automatically finds wireless networks. The Torch beats the iPhone when roaming - iPhone takes a while to get a connection to any mobile carrier, the Torch is instant.
Watch for an update....the Torch is gone. Bought the iPhone. I tried the iPhone for two days and decided to sell the Torch. I miss BBM, but just added WhatsApp - had all my BBM friends add this, and other than that its' just a more fun experience! The keyboard is still a bit of an issue - but its' 90% good and I am just learning.
Why switch?
Noticeably faster, noticeable difference in screen quality - especially on internet, video.
Stuff just works. Apps work better, richer experience
Having notifications on my BB lets me know instantly what kind of message I got or who's calling, without freezing what I am doing on the phone, a #1 over any other phone. And the LEDs are great, when I'm at work I don't gotta pull the phone out and unlock it to see the call or message, the certain colour I choose for the represented message or call lets me know that. No other phone has that. Texting messages are a breeze compare to other phones, with the touch screen or physical keyboard.
I love this blackberry, Iphone talk. My bro had an Iphone 4 and he'll come over and ask if its alright if he can charge it lol. I had a BB Storm 2 and upgraded to a Torch for the simple fact that it was the best blackberry and had everything i need in a phone. I needed a phone that had good camera/video capability( doesn't need to be 720p to be great), long battery life, strong signal, and one that can message/email like no other. The Torch has all that and i got bright LEDS to notify me as well

For me, the secure data is a plus - and Blackberry has such a secure method of delivering data that governments have banned Blackberry for that reason. Its not just the phone itself that would be important to most people in business, its the transmission of secure data and files.
Blackberry is the phone for business. And now with the Torch - you can have a little more fun!
Regret not getting a iPhone 4 strictly for battery life, even though the prices is ridiculous sometimes that 5 hours of extra battery life could mean big business depending on the business/use of your phone.
I though this guys review where legitimate until I saw this one.
Every reason you listed why you purchase a torch the iPhone has the exact same capabilities. The only realistic different comparison you gave me was the price difference.
I decision finding a phone was hard but I took an Android HTC Desire. Price was the cheapest at the same functionality minus the keyboard and blackberry messanger.
Battery life on the HTC is Horrible..comparable to my old curve...
I look forward to reviewing the Blackberry Playbook! I am an obvious fan of Blackberry, and an app idea guy who will soon release a niche market app....

I'm probably getting the torch now that it's in canada but many of your reasons for getting the torch can be applied to the iphone. I think your 3rd reason should be 1st...not a bad video
