  • * People are so stupid. Galactus destroys planets not just to kill, but for the need to survive, and sustain his energy.

How else can you feed God-like powers from the farthest reaches of the Universe.

  • Galactus is not evil, is he?

  • كويتي بحق !power منح القوة :)*شكرا

  • Aah...just got that 90s feel to it...

  • (2:28-2:37) I fucking love that scene

  • I like how Galactus was eaten in the Marvel Zombies Comics ...

  • galactus is BEAST and EEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCC111!!!

  • reading the 'reviews' on here reminds me just how worthless the human race is...all hail The Devourer.

  • I love galactus. but everybody forgets that galactus isnt a villain. he must eat planets to survive just like we must eat food to live. and a perfect example of how good he is he could have lied to silver surfer and ate the planet. but instead spared it, just as he promised.

  • @jjsauchellz26 plus in Fantastic Four the end he stands up to the combined might of the Shiar empire and the Kree and the Skrull to protect Earth.

  • The "ARRISEEE!!!" part is just simply epic

  • Aw man. I was hoping for an actual birth video. Like Silver Surfer coming out of the womb. JK.

  • i love to hear galactus say ARISE

  • @gullydisciple

    A r i S e

  • That monologue deserves to be in a film. If they ever make a Silver Surfer movie, (one not based on that OTHER one) this should be its basis.

  • I just learned that Galactus's voice is provided by.........Tony Jay. That guy was the shit. I miss him. ;~;

  • @dave55811

actually that tony jay did big g in the 90s fan four show. this is a different VA.

  • @maxacorn Oh? Yeah; I guess I can hear the difference....especially his S's whistling. xD

  • i thought silver surfer was white

  • pathetic

  • LOL. I was expecting some pregnant silver woman. :))

  • i wish my voice was like Galactus'

  • Galactus.....not the hero, not the villan......just doesnt care

  • OMG he's Professor Xavier!!

  • -"I will never forget you!"

    *minutes later*

-"Yo Galactus, what about this planet right here?! Not like I know someone from it..."

  • @CorreaLang This made me laugh so hard ahahahahaha Thanks man goos shit XD

  • @Obscureflection lol =D

    but its true xD

  • I vaguely remember this cartoon existing.

  • thumbs up for brushing his shoulders off @ 1:48

  • Hey that was pretty nice of Galactus to not play Norrin out and eat his home planet.

  • pedobear is the watcher in costume

  • why does he look exactly like Xavier?

  • Ummm, Galactus doesn't need a space ship, his big purple suit was originally a ship.

  • This was one of the best series ever...got cancelled abruptly because of lack of funds...a crying shame.

  • and no lady to fuck.

  • lol press 0 pause 0 again.....repeat lol

  • @JAXEVANS HAHAHA!

  • The story line was amazing. It was a lot to take in as a child, but it sparked such an interest into the Cosmos for me. I love the way they depict the Cosmos and the story line. I will never forget the influence this show had on my life, and the direction it caused me to pursue academically (Chemistry)

  • Man! I wish they could've did more seasons of this show on FOX Kids! I thought the storyline was phenomenal. Now, the sequel to 'The Fantastic Four' was ridiculous! But, the only thing cool was The Silver Surfer and the re-invention armor of Dr. Doom, (which they could've had his new armor in the 1st film).

But, I hope they do a film of 'The Silver Surfer', I know it was be a blockbuster hit film!

  • @JeremyForest MY KIND OF PEOPLE THE SILVER SURFER FUCKING NEEDS RESPECT AND HAS A VERY VERY PERSONAL PLACE IN MY HEART FOR THE SILVER SURFER ITS ALL THANK TO MY BROTHER GOD BLESS ITS CUZ OF HIM I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE SILVER SURFER AND GOT ME HOOKED TO THE SILVER SURFER RESPECT LOVE YOU BRO I MISS YOU AND I WILL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE ANY WAY MOVE ON AND ALL SO NEEDS HIS RIGHT AND DESERVES A FILM ALL ABOUT THE SILVER SURFER A MOVIE PLAYED BY THE ROCK OR RYAN REYNOLDS OR JASON STATHAM rules

  • Best part about this show, no Fantastic Four.

  • The storyline, the use of words, just everything about this show, is quality and depth.

You don't find things like this anymore these days, glad i grew up with it.

  • Galactus gave the Silver Surfer awesome powers, but he took away his dick.

  • 1:44 - Crowning Music Of Awesome

  • wtf? silver surfer was ALWAYS SILVER ALWAYS... galactus never changed him to be silver. He was ALWAS SILVER

  • Who voices Galactus? He sounds familiar.

  • @GAF1987 The great Tony Jay.

  • One of the most epic moments in cartoon history.. EVER!

Galactus' voice and overal apearance.. just amazing. It pierces your soul and makes you shiver.

  • @KingHarkinian Dr Manhatten destroys them both with a wink

  • @xDexBoy made me lol, thanks xD

  • @xDexBoy Dr.manhatten cant touch galactus and you damn well know that.

  • @amartinez97 i dont know man... blue winnie come's pretty close

  • @xDexBoy i hope your kidding, Because Manhattan is not anywhere near as powerful as Galactus

  • @DougMcHead LOL , galactus got beat up by ghost rider.. nothing can touch manhattan you fool.

  • @xDexBoy Silly boy. You must have watched Watchmen too many times and staring at Manhattan's junk and got all flustered. Galactus is what Manhattan could be with about 1,000,000,000 years practice.

  • @xDexBoy Silly, he didn't get beat up by Ghostrider. Ghostrider used Penance Stare and made him feel all the suffering he had caused over billions of years. Then he got back up. Galactus is way more badass than Manhattan.

  • @Rosebunse LOL, what im saying is he was affected by some crappy old ghostrider. Manhattan wouldnt even pay attention to him, a wink and his gone from existence.

  • @xDexBoy Galactus still kicks more ass and does it in style. The guy wears a stupid purple hat, and he still kicks ass! Can Manhattan wear a stupid looking hat without looking like a sissy?

  • This reminds me of similar stories found in the bible of how single men that have once paid one of the ultimate prices (remaining single forever) and how God used them for His purpose.

  • He should have taken them both. Two heralds for the price of one, minus extra energy given to Shalla-Bal.

  • I remember watching this episode years ago, and it striking me that Galactus... being the ultimate force in the universe and devourer of worlds... has enough honor to keep his bargain with Norin Radd.

He could have just been a jerk and decided to destroy the planet, but he didn't out of a pact he made. Classy guy.

  • ARIIIIIIIIISH!

  • ARISE !!!

  • Silver Surfer should've got his own movie instead of appearing in that faggot fantastic four movie > - (

  • @MrTtaylor1

He is getting his own movie, I'm doing Security on Set, I have proof of Galactus being on the Film. they're shooting in Culver City studio A on a Set.

  • @MrTtaylor1 wtf? what would the movie be about? him marking planet's for galactus? because incase you dont know. galactus and him were made for fantastic four comic's and movie. he wasnt his own hero like spider-man or ghost-rider

  • @noksinerate Still, like many heroes they did evolve into their thing, but yeah, they do feel closer to FF. But, a movie would be cool. Thanos could be in it. You know you want to see Thanos in a movie.

  • @MrTtaylor1 Agreed.

  • @MrTtaylor1 >faggot

u use that word a lot I don't think it means what you think it means

  • [Pre-baited comment follows> So ... that movie was gay, but this male/male Master/slave muscle-boy domination video isn't? What are you and your 66 votes trying to say? Please use complete sentences, including punctuation

  • @MrTtaylor1 Stop using the word "faggot" you homophobic cunt.

  • I think he meant the movie was awful not that he has a problem with homosexuals.

Like the saying"fake and gay" does it implies that its a homophobic answer?

  • @MrTtaylor1

    Dont worry about that !!

Silver Surfer is getting his own movie in 2014.

It will thereafter be part of the AVENGERS 2 !!!

    MEGAAWESOME !!!

  • @SynodCenturion where did you get this info. your getting my hopes up.

  • That guys sounds like Vigo the Caprpathian from Ghostbusters 2

  • @BoStErO1905 no vigo sounds like galactus lol! far predates ghost busters 2...well the comic not the cartoon lol

  • silver surfer was dope, he should have been in the xman movies, too late now they fucked it up with the last stand film killing off iconic charactors that have been around for years? what the fuck are these ppl up2. i agree they need to read the marvel comics again.

  • They really screwed up the whole Silver Surfer/Galactus storyline in the second Fantasic Four movie. Whoever write that movie never read a Marvel comic!

  • @caction66 Galactus is a space tornado? WTF?

  • 0:30 - 1:10

those are all the powers of a Daoist Immortal; read Chinese myth.

  • Again; all Silver Surfer is, is a comic book character with all the powers of a minor Buddha, or a Daoist Immortal, he is borrowed directly both from western and eastern myth.

Well if you believe its a myth I don't want to offend anybody; I call it a "myth" out of respect for atheists.

  • @stardingo747 funny, cuzz atheist dont respect anyone...look around youtube, all they do is insult and demoralize people of faith

  • Even Norrin Rad himself has a shaved head, which is something Buddhist monks are known for.

  • how do you know he;s not just bald?

  • I suppose that's true.

  • "Zen" is the Japanese word for the Chinese "Chan," and I think I even read in a comic book encyclopedia about how Stan Lee was inspired by some Chan Buddhist influences regarding the silver surfer.

All the Silver Surfer is, is a minor Buddha turned into a super hero. No direct references are made to the religion, to avoid offending people I mean come on.... its a comic book.

  • @stardingo747 Jack Kirby , when interviewed on this matters said that Galactus, the Surfer , and the New Gods were derived from the bible, it makes sense, Galactus reminds of the old vengful gosd of the old Testament, making devasttion, floods , and natural disasters, and yet showing little compasion. While the Surfer who contacts Humanity and becomes its savior, looses the abilty to soar into space, that reasembles the story of JesusChrist.

  • The character has such romantic appeal too; how he would prefer to trade that power just to be with the woman he loves.

    Problem is he's too "whiny."

If they make a movie they are gonna need to tone that down. Sufer would be more popular if he was more stoic.

  • with power like the Surfer's, who the fuck wants money? Be nice to have.

  • I never really got to see the cartoon back in the 90s. I could never really catch it . The animiation was more 3D like than the XMen kinda like Spiddrman. I think these comic writers have a problem with some of their characters becasuse essentially Galactus like characters are invincible and all powerful so no one can beat them. But then they get beat by some one who is of lesser power. It doesn't make any sense to me.

  • Galactus needs planets like Tyrone Biggums needs crack

  • Comment removed

  • silver surfer looks and talks like xavier, did anyone noticed that?

  • They sure don't make cartoons like they used to. A show this high brow with a cosmicly powered pariah who waxes poetic would never fly with today's youth.

  • @mightygrin I'd have to disagree with that. But TV executives tend to look down on their audiences and so we get crap like... well... I really don't remember the last time I saw something good on TV. Star Trek?

  • I found it hilarious that norin rad lost his identity/memory in the process of saving his home world, and the first thing he does as the silver surfer is turn around point to his planet and say

"ooo! galacty-guy! you should eat this one ! om nom nom :3"

  • epic

  • I would gladly serve Galactus.

  • alright; I commented that loser italicsbob into oblivion.

    now he is forgotten.

  • Although they can enjoy food, Buddhas do not need to eat.

If I had to compare the Silver Surfer to an eastern religious figure, it would probably have to be a Daoist immortal, albeit severely powered down. According to religious Daoism, the immortals need "no food to eat, no air to breathe...." and all that junk.

  • Tony Jay's Galactus is far better.

  • any 1 plz tell me the name of this show...

    i used 2 watch it but i 4got its name plz any1 plz...i shall b thankful

  • SLIVER SURFER dur

  • Comment removed

  • If I was a Rabbi, or Buddhist priest, don't know if I would feel comfortable with people borrowing material from stuff I believed in to make a cartoon though.... The "no air to breathe, no water to drink" e.g. "cosmic power" is basically nirvana. According to Buddhism, the Budhas need no food, no shelter, they're basically invincible. Silver Surfer borrows, apparently, from Jewish and Buddhist sources. I suppose that is why the comic book draws so many readers, and why its lasted.

  • you are such a fuckin dumbass. i dont even know where to start with your uneducated comment. the surfer has nothing to do with jews or buddhism. and yes budhas eat you fuckin moron.

  • 1:38

That part was taken straight out of Hebrew apocryphal literature (non-cannonical religious); according to the creation stories there, God literally dug his hand into the soil, and when he opened up his hand, there was Adam, the first man. Depending on which version you read he made Eve the same way. The "Adam's rib" story is not the only Eve creation story; there are others but not accepted as religious canon.

    ultimately Judaism is corrupt though.

  • And Silver Surfer is based on the story of Solomon, who traded the woman he loved (The Queen of Sheba), for power. Like Solomon, Surfer ends up miserable for his decision. The Biblical Solomon, could not give up his wealth to be with his woman, okay he had many women but he loved only one. Surfer, makes a similar, fateful decision.

  • idiot. this has nothing to do with religion or giving up wealth. he did that to save his planet the people he loved. dumbass

  • dude, half of all marvel characters are religion or mythology inspired.

you better stop typing; you're so fucking anneuristically epileptically efficient cognition challenged, asuming you've even got a brain, YOU are so fucking dumb you'll hurt yourself typing.

how the hell is that possible?

    for you, certainly.

go grease up your car's engine with your face grease you piece of shit.

  • you're right cartoons are nothing compared to the 90's(so many good ones),80's,and 70's too(challenge of the superfriends)

  • GOD IS GAY

  • i miss saturday mornings, not much worth waking up and watching. all the kids from the 80's and 90's now what im taking about.

  • @apocalypse369

yeah ur right about that. Back in the 80s-90s were the fun cartoons the ones with masculinity. Noe the carttons are just too feminine and homosexual now a days. The characters look too pretty.

  • I remember this show. It was good but it didn't last long. Saturday morning used to be so awesome. I see why kids sleep in now.

  • poor silver surfer when he was transformed he lost his manhood

  • esse é o poder de galactus

  • "One Above all is the prime celestial"

There are TWO "One Above All" characters in Marvel Comics. One is the prime Celestial, and the other is essentially God, and even the Living Tribunal answers to him (the Tribunal said so). He has only briefly (maybe) made appearances. He was also who possibly manipulated Thanos into gaining and using the Heart of the Universe (according to Thanos himself). Galactus, the One Above All (of the Celestials), etc., are specks to THE One Above All.

  • I shall reveal the identity of the One-Above-All for he exists in our reality. The name given to him at birth is Stanley Martin Lieber but our world knows him as Stan Lee!

  • What about Roma :))

She is above everything .. isnt???

  • Its taboo in entertainment to mention God; I have this stupid video game idea, in which the main character will glow a lot right? Obviously implying he's attained some sort of "holy power." However, the way I'm planning the game's plot is, that when asked what happend to him he will reply "I don't know." Again; mentioning ANYTHING sacred, is taboo, if I'm ever in video games I am not violating that rule.

  • Stan Lee is Jewish, and he has borrowed liberally from Hebrew and ashkenazi Jewish European folklore to make his comic books. Ironman for example is basically a high tech golem.

  • wow, The old cartoon are good lol

  • * I would do "almost" anything to have TheSilversurfer's God like powers.. lol

  • * LoL. Daaaayuum. Galactus made my nigga into Jesus!!!

  • The Silver Surfer is an allegory of the choices some men have to confront;

power, ultimate power, or the love of a woman?

In the bible, King Solomon chose power, and died in misery.

Given the choice between what the Silver Surfer can do, a comic book character in fact even more powerful than the Silver Age superman, and the love of a good woman, what would most men choose?

  • " ...Verily, Verily I say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." St. John 3:3. " For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." 1st Corinthians 15: 53. Wow.

  • Stan Lee wrote that he drew his inspiration from various religions. "The Silver Surfer" is the ultimate goal of Daoism and Buddhism, believe it or not, of course, according to Daoism and Buddhism, immortals and Buddhas are far more powerful.

  • I had an inkling that there were spiritual overtones to him, he's quite a unique character in the pantheon of comic heroes. Thank you for that nugget of knowledge.

  • I'm just an incorrigible history geek; I'm so into history, that, bored with the standard stuff I looked at comic book encyclopedias. I know they're pricey but, you should really look into purchasing the most recent Marvel and D.C. encyclopedias. Not just interesting history, but they will help you settle arguments with comic book geeks.

  • Never noticed how this could be viewed as an allegory for christian re-birth. " to perform your task as a my herald, Norrin Radd, you must become much more than a mere man... " You are newborn my herald. Even your mind is a new page on which I shall write." -Galactus

  • Damn I understood all that as a kid, that was deep.

  • That's some pretty good CGI of Galactus

  • galactus 4 ever

  • Seeing this makes me even more excited for the upcoming Silver Surfer spin-off, although it depends on that it gets through development hell.

  • come on Surfer; tear Dr. Manhattan a new one for us!

  • what a wonderful piece of animation ,i remeber watching this when i was little

  • dont remember this cartoon

  • Yep. Disney owns this now.

  • One-above-all is the ultimate power in the marvel universe! Galactus has extraordinary power, yet it's probably less than 1% of the one-above-all.

Silver surfer is cool, I'd choose between cosmic powers over a mortal life anyday.

  • what is one-above-all?

  • One-above-all is god in the marvel universe and therefore the ulitimate being in all marvel comics. The one-above-all can take any form: he has been known to appear as a begger when he advised spiderman, and one of the authors of marvel comic in a episode of fantasic four.

  • One Above all is the prime clestial of the fourth host, not a god.

He's not the most powerful being in the comics by a long shot.

Mad Jim Jaspers could whoop his ass.

  • wat promis

  • embrace the power cosmic !

  • Wow the board alone would be enough for me to sign up. The ability to soar the Cosmos!

  • epic

  • I remember seeing this when i was like 10 years old.

Much cooler than the bullshit cartoons you see nowadays

  • dude the cartoons back in the day were way better than today....todays cartoons are just...kiddy gay.....im scared for the children of today and tomarrow who watch crap...

  • uh, is that an angry reaction?

  • i agree with romolando ,or maybe we are all just too old to watch cartoons..

  • I saw this show when I was 10 too

  • @robinpimpin190 You hit it right on the head dude!

  • galactus an antenna head :):)

  • I hate how douchebag kids from among the comic book crowd label the silver surfer as a "wuss."

Yeah, surfer whines a lot and yeah he feels sorry for himself but he does it in a way that is so POETIC. Besides, the choice between a warm naked woman, and unlimited cosmic power.... fuck man, don't know if cosmic power would be worth sacrificing a hot..... alright I better stop there, there could be kids reading this.

  • the cartoon had its moments when it did the character justice, but god damn overall it was a chessy experience, even if it was a kid's show.

Even "Avatar; The Last Airbender" is more tolerable to watch during its "kid stuff" moments. Ugh, I personally remember this show when I watched it as a teenager, and how it gave me an overwhelming sense of "growing old" as parts of me JUST didn't appeal to me the way they would have had I been a kid.

  • so epic

  • this was 1998

  • the cgi looks shit

  • dude, don't know why you got so many thumbs down, you're only being honest. I don't read comic books, but, through Marvel Encyclopedias I've read a lot about the silver surfer and few parts of this cartoon did the character any justice. You're right, even for the 90's this CGI is just shitty.

  • to me sounds alot like magneto or xavier or the voice of god..lol
