  • So, have a few scratches on the bottom of the fuselage do we???? lol. Great vid, cant beleive how close you go to those rocks!! Keep 'em comin' !!!!

  • Awesome Flying!! My Hero2 ( HumbleOutdoors $270 w/free SD card) stays close to me. Your video has opened a new world of RC flying to me.

  • Amazing man, You are fearless! some pretty close passes there! You live in a beautiful place, love the look of Vestmannaeyjar!

  • very cool!

  • Well Done!

  • Great video. fun to watch, well done. Will look for more!!

  • Very very nice video. I like you style.

    Michael (absolute-zero)

  • So nice , i wish i could fly like you do :) like

  • beautiful flying!

  • Hefuru einhverntímann fest vélina/brotlent og þurft að sækja hana hátt í fjall?

  • You got balls, ill give you that. Real nice vid, nicely made

  • rosalega flott myndband ég var í eyjum í sumar með ÍR að keppa í fótbolta og þá fengum við að ráfa um eyjuna eins og við vildum en virðist að ég mysti af mikilli fegurð frá eyjunni.

  • I thought a setup like yours would be more then $600, I'm impressed. My Hero2 (HumbleOutdoors w/free SD card... awesome price) is mounted to my wood surf kayak. The video results have been a joy.

  • Awesome video dude!

I've been thinking of visiting Iceland to fly some FPV with my Tricopter. What's the best time of year to visit? Would you like to meet and fly? :D

  • @dadde87 Hi David! I am glad you like my video!

I think it would be best to visit in the summer in May, June or July.

I live in Vestmannaeyjar though which is an island by the south coast of Iceland.

I am kind of still an FPV noob but I would love to fly with you :)

  • @Kickahobo

What did you say?!! "I am kind of still an FPV noob..."

No dude. Your are no FPV noob. That kind of proximity flying while wearing goggles at about a mile away is NOT a noob thing.

Great job!! Truly enjoyed it. Plus it was nice to see what I never see in Florida....snow and mountains.

  • Absolutley superb flying and video !!!! I myself prefer the sounds of the prop, wind only but you are absolutely FEARLESS with your flying and obviously know your area very well to navigate those cliffs like that - BRAVO !!!

  • Mjög áhugavert hjá þér.

Ég væri til í að sjá hjá þér DIY guide af þessu setupi.

Til dæmis inkaupalista og einhverjar myndir af uppsetningunni og tengingum.

  • Þjóðhátíð næst? :-)

  • WOW that is some serious flying!!!

    //Andreas

  • great slope soaring site at 1:14, cool videos. Sub! H

  • Nice flying bro, those low flight is about the best i've seen

  • Cool

  • Hvað drífur fjasteringin eiginlega langt ? :O

  • In what city is it?

  • @altman66 Vestmannaeyjar

  • you have the video speed up some??

  • @USAFA21 nope only when I was flying towards the mountain in the beginning, it does sometimes look like it though for some reason. I think it's because I recorded at 60fps

  • Heh. Team black sheep should be jealous

  • First rate!! That was an awesome video!! FPV at its finest.

  • Nice vid man :) Good editing also!

  • OutFreakingStanding!

    Thank You!

  • Sweet video man, how far out were you from the plane, and how did you keep radio and visual signals from that far?

  • @Extremehackermike Only 1.6km or 1 mile, I added a long range system called dragon link to my radio and I have a video transmitter on the plane, a receiver next to me and I watch what is happening live via video goggles

  • @Kickahobo How much did the whole setup cost? and the video never goes out or lags?

  • @Extremehackermike The setup I am using is around $600 without all the shipping costs and import taxes I had to pay.

  • @Kickahobo awesome, for that price i'll probably look into it for my self! thanks for all the info!

  • Sweet flyin'

  • Very Nice.

  • Djöfull er þetta svalt maður ..... úuuuuuu mí líke ai lot mainnn

  • Thats freaking sweet dude! What kinda RC plane is that? An where were you standing to be able to see it that far away?

  • @cisco761 Just an electric plane from hobbyking called "Bixler" and no FPV means first person view, I have a video transmitter on the plane.

  • @cisco761 HE USES A TELESCOPE TO FLY IT LOL

  • @chatch15117 First person goggles.

  • WOW that was very low :-D but very nice :-D

  • btw what do you wear to fly during the winter? Gloves in particular?

  • @GreenAce92 it doesn't get very cold here, sometimes I wear motocross gloves though

  • @Kickahobo do you fly alright with these said gloves? And what is "not very cold"? 15 degrees?

  • @GreenAce92 No, maybe like 32 Fahrenheit.. It usually stays around freezing level here in the winter

  • Haven't you tried flying at a mountain then pulling up at the last second then skimming the mountain on your way up?

  • Great flight! Just wish that the Gopro images were better.

  • NICE!

  • you got skilz :)

  • Wow, you are flying like a real daredevil so close to the ground coming out of a dive with high speed, haven't seen that until now !

Like the dives over those majestic vulcanoes and the awesome vieuws higher up.

    Thumb up, well done !

  • @FivelingoPilotVieuw Thanks, only two of the mountains on this island are volcanoes though :)

  • Do you live in a ghosttown?

  • @kledder2 Yes, I am the only habitant here since the nuclear explosion last year, what looks like snow in the video is actually some freaky dust from the nuke.

Seriously though I filmed this on new years morning, no one was up yet :)

  • I`ve flown RC for years this is the first visual from a Go -pro on board flying over a place that we`ve only heard about in school --Quite the ground terrain all volcanic very cool home you have from where you are standing to do a hug on the rocks GOOD JOB & an electric--

On that shear wall at 1:14 would`nt want to lose visual skidooing up that in a snow storm I`ll share this -even to show your home off nice .

  • Very nice hope too get mine going soon.

  • Great vid ! I like the cliff surfing ... Nice

  • Awesome video !

Just hope you dont crash it ... Must be a hell of a job to retrieve your gear !

  • I like your videos. Wish to have a place like this to fly.

  • nige flight

  • Excellent!

  • SICK flying and video.Hope to see more like this. I don't know personally, but I hear the new Fat Shark goggles are much clearer and high def .would be good for that close proximetry stuff you do. Keep up the good work!!

  • Nice!

  • great vid !!!!

  • That's some pretty fancy flying if I do say so myself! Thanks for sharing with the rest of us. BTW, doesn't look like there's much snow up there. Is that normal for this time of year?

  • @dorsai Yes whats the story with that -should be a major amount we have nothing here in central Alberta Can . first time ever -I was wondering if it`s because of Venus -Mars Jupitar are so close to Earth now .

  • @dorsai Usually when it snows here it melts away in a week or so.. But this winter we've had snow for over a month I think... weird

  • Thats awesome bro,how do u like living in iceland.

  • @rednexRC Thanks, It's alright I guess, I just wish there was more sunlight here in the winter, when I go to work in the morning it's dark, and when I get home form work it's dark again.. So I have to either fly during my launch break or on the weekends
