@NornIronPride Bit unfair on Carter and on Wilkinson's 2003 team mates there, I think. Wilkinson was amazing obviously but he was playing behind a completely ridiculous pack and had guys like Jason Robinson and Will Greenwood outside him. Carter would have done just as well in my opinion.

@piepackage2 mate not that i dont agree that tries make games exciting and what not. if you watch the video again hes got nothing on the defence has the width of the pitch covered and to go for a drop goal was propably the best option, otherwise he would have been iscolated. tries dont always win you games and you cant always score them its important to take points when you can.

Great player, great kick. But would much prefer if my number ten only went for a drop goal in certain situations, like down by 2 with a minute to go etc. Not 15 minutes into a game. Why not run it? So relieved Wallabies play a running game like they do. Better for the game, supporters, the score etc.
