Judge Alex: White judge, black sheriff.

Judge Joe Brown: Black judge, white sheriff.

People's Court: White judge, black sheriff.

There might be some reason behind it from a TV production standpoint, but it's a weird coincidence.

the lack of evidence on the defendant's part just showed how he was unprepared for this case. It is up to him to show that she is wrong and he brought nothing!!  Not even a witness. If he had brought the person who dealt with this landlord he may have stood a chance. He was counting on the fact that he was a business and knew better. He had nothing to contradict the plantiff!!
