Rosebud, the word uttered by Kane before he died. The rosebud he was referring to was "LOVE" that he had been longing for. His desire to make people love him that failed, then created a singer, to make people love her but he failed too. Then he created xanadu for her to make her love him but he failed..Rosebud was the lost love he was trying to bring back from the past but unfortunately he failed and died.
