  • I may stay up all night going thru your wonderful videos. In northern Iowa here I brought my stevia in for the winter. Trim it back and throw in a pot , also the trimmings will root in water.

  • @westie42 Thank you!

  • so cute to see the tiny little Thai basil that will be a MONSTER in a few weeks.

  • The Stevia I had came back year after year. Sadly I lost my garden when we built on in that area and I knew I didn't have the time or space to transplant things with all the construction. Now in December, I'm ready to start something like you've done. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

  • Thank you. The garden is fun! If you are going to do a Square Foot Garden, I highly recommend getting the book by Mel Barthalemew! It tells you the exact soil mixture. Happy gardening!

  • What a beautiful garden. You definately have a green thumb!

  • I just planted tomatoes peas corn sunflowers carrots lettuce leafes flowering Kale And CATNIP Im so excited

  • r u using sevin on your plants

  • Great video , wish i was just as successful lol sadly we don't get a long enough summer , You know what would be interesting to try is a banana plant. i grow them , in pots in the winter then in the summer i put them in the ground :)

  • I started my first square foot garden this year - I am having trouble with little black ants on my lettuce - I heard spraying with a diluted dish soap, haven't tried it yet.

  • I was just in Taylor County this past weekend, and that storm was amazing! Luckily no tornadoes in our neck of the woods. Glad to see the asparagus is sprouting. I was wondering how that had been doing from last year. Everything looks great, keep up the good work!

  • With snap peas, you can encourage more pea pods by picking the ones on it. It causes the plant to produce more and more until you're buried. lol I love growing those. They're just so delicious even right off the plant.

Your garden is absolutely amazing! Excellent video. :)

  • Thank you so much! Happy Gardening!

  • Hi, I was wondering how long it took for your sugar snap peas to get that big? I have sugar snap peas in SE ny and they are not growing very fast. maybe it's a bit to cool.

  • Hi, It took my peas about 1 month or so. I expect to get many more once the temps begin to reach an average of around 70 degrees. Thanks for watching!

  • Hurrahhhh!! You're back!! Because of you Donna, for the first time ever I am growing beefsteak tomatoes, peppers, basil, parsley and lettuce. It's all in my apartment (from seed) and waiting to be planted on my balcony as soon as it's warm out. (Chicago)

  • Wonderful!! Thanks for watching and Happy Gardening!

  • Wonderful. Beautiful garden. I watched all your videos last fall. Glad to see you're back.

  • Thanks so much!

  • thanks for the new vid I really like your videos.

  • Thank you!

  • yey a new video !!!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • I am a new gardner...this is my first time. So can you do a few videos on harvesting. How do I know when my parsley or dill or spanish etc. is ready for harvest and eat?

  • Gosh...I will try to help but this is only my second year. I have used parsley whenever there are leaves, just don't pick it all! Keep picking the parsley and dill to try to keep it from "bolting", producing flowers (all of the energy will go to the flower). Best thing to do is plant new seeds every 2 weeks so you will have a continuous harvest. Also, but the book, The All New Square Foot Gardening. Thanks for watching,

    Donna

  • Hi Donna,

Missed your videos...I look for one everyday. How often are you in your garden? Also, what are the white spots on your sugar snap peas?

  • probley seven a power that keeps bus away

  • Thank you so much. It really means a lot other people are out there watching and, hopefully, receiving inspiration through my videos! The spots on the peas are droplets of water. As far as time in my garden, I spend about 10 minutes in the morning with my coffee, watching it grow. I harvest something almost everyday, even if it is just an herb. I actually only work about 5 hours a season. This excludes, of course, the grass and weed maintenance around my beds. Thanks for watching,

    Donna

  • Ooh I'm so excited to see this new video! I can't wait to see all your fantastic harvests and recipes etc. this year :)

  • Thanks you so much. Happy Gardening!

  • yay. welcome back. i'm so excited to see what you are able to produce this year. keep the videos coming.
