Despite people the underage comments it looks like he did a good job. It was super fast. Which is how it should be if done right. Her eyes watering is probably because of all the nerves inside the nose instead of it actually hurting. It is a pretty painless piercing when done right, assuming you have enough tissue to use. When you have to go through cartilage is when it gets painfully. Got mine done and didn't feel it, my eyes didn't water either which rocked, because of my eye makeup.

I have my septum done<3 ive had it for a year now. i actually got my friend to do it for me i just supplied the hallow needle. it was a 14 g. it did hurt but do to the fact that he pierced threw some cartilage. the piercing is supposed to go threw a thinner skin on top of the cartilage, in my case it went threw both. It hurt but it was well worth it. :)

I don't even understand why people get them if they are going to hide them, getting a piercing isn't a sign of being piss weak. You can't even enjoy it and they will see the septum it shines inside your nose like a big silver booger. If you're going to get piercings you have to accept the negatives. I'm a med student, it's imperative that I hide my septum and I couldn't care less if no one ever sees it, because I didn't get it for them, I got it for me and I know it's there, existing, at peace with the world, being beautiful inside my nose.

Also, no one will see it if you get it done properly and wear the right jewelry. No one sees mine, unless I show them.

If they can see your septum when the retainer is flipped up, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.

Newportlover15...i got my septum pierced about 4 years ago and i can personally tell you that you can either get the cartilage pierced or the skin below the cartilage.honestly,its safer to get the cartilage done because then the piercing wont migrate and has less chances being ripped out.i thought mine was going to hurt but it actually didnt,i felt pressure like i was blowing my nose and then my right eye watered.that was it.dont be afraid go and get it done!

Septum piercings don't go through the cartiledge, unless you either want to or dont have enough room underneath it.

It doesn't go through the cartilage.

It goes through the stuff under it.

Stretch your top lip over your teeth (not with your hands) and feel with your two index fingers for the spot below the cartilage but above the tough skin.

That's where they pierce. It's called the sweet spot.
