We (Kitchener/Waterloo) were the pilot program to test "chip" technology in all of Canada. My bank card (PC) has had it for well over a year and a half and now I see it has started to spread abroad now.

My credit card has two chips in them, one round and one square. I have disabled the chip for the "speed pay...or pass" feature (round), which is the feature the scumbags use to hi-jack your info with their little machines you can buy off of ebay.

I have another which I intend to disable too.
