  • when was this done was this done in the mid 80s does anybody know?

  • @girlygirl850 1985-86.

  • Well played! A deserving winner.

  • considering its a very hard game to conduct, Tom Kennedy does a real good job with the "higher and lower"

  • isn't that borat?

  • Shame Tom Kennedy isn't around to host the show now. Game show hosts of the past had a certain class around them that's hard to find nowadays.

  • Um...just so there's no confusion about the choice of words there, Tom is still very much alive. He's just happily retired with zero interest in hosting another game show.

  • Wasn't implying he was dead, although reading my first post I can see that interpretation. Thank goodness for GSN to be able to see these shows.

  • I think Tom goofed for one higher or lower on the first prize. But overall, he did a good job.

  • But in the 1986 primetime shows, if you got both prizes, you got to choose from 4 envelopes containing a cash bonus ($1K, $2K, $3K, or $5K). On Dennis James' version, you got a $1K bonus if you got both prizes with 2 or more seconds to spare.

  • And let's not forget that they give $5K as the Bonus on the current Primetime shows

  • @gameshowguy2000 on Doug Davidson's Version of Clock Game, if you won both prizes, you won a Bonus Prize just like on the Bonus Game

  • Way before Bob Barker gave away $1,000 if you win both prizes within 30 sec.
