There's so much potential for a decent game in the Star Trek Universe but I don't see many utilizing it. I mean, come on. Away missions, running around the ships for repairs or fighting invaders on board, using different planets and story lines. You could make an endless game with all the information from this but everything just seems to focus on either away missions for some games, or just being a ship in space for others. Am I missing any great games that do these things?

Even proven actors didn't make the dialog believable. Why isn't there any suspense about what will happen?

What happened to the sense of speed?

Why can't you chase and be followed over immense distances?

What damage is being done to the enemy ship, your ship? Huge dangerous explosions are missing.

Enormous world "away missions"?

What can you scavenge from wreckage, clues? usable items?

They make satisfying RPGs what happened to their experience in doing it with this gane?

I can relate to your discouragement, but in being realistic, do you have any idea how big this game would be if they used actually sized planets? Methinks we'll actually need to be in the 23rd century before we can handle such data demand.

Just got this game in the post, LOVING IT.

All those crap reviews were for the PC port - the lead 360 version is WAY better.

Haven't got to the TOS Enterprise levels yet - but I PRAY SOMEONE is voicing Scotty.

Just so, whenever I go to warp, I can hear "I'M GIVIN' HER ALL SHE'S GOT, CAPTAIN!"

i can't do this bloody campaign, it gets to the fight with the three romulans, then a box comes up saying about weapons and crap, then when u get one of the ships sheilds down, another box comes up and the game freezes crashes and i have to shut down the computer, anyone got any advice, on how to stop the messages or how to get round them?

Go to your settings and turn off the tutorial. It should be under game in the setting menu.

Absolutely. I mean, I know it would take forever to get around them if you had to orbit them at impulse if they were actually planet-sized, but you still can do your mini-warps.

And that's another problem with this game. There's no penalty for warping around planets (the game kinda makes this a necessity), although it has been said at least twice in Star Trek episodes that going to warp inside a solar system is a very risky thing to do.

i looked up the ratings and they ALL say this game sucks it drove the IGN and Gamespot say that they hate it how torpedo miss and the phasers.... in short thry don't like this game the rating is 5.2 and below!

That was for the PC version of the game. They more a lot more positive about the XBox 360 version, which was what this game was originally designed for anyway.

In BC, there's a way to dodge torpedoes: got at like speed 7 and when a torpedo is near you jump to speed 9 and make a hard turn.
