I met Sean myself, he is a musician by trade. I did not feel any ghost, but I did get a lot of orbs in my photos that I have posted on Facebook!! Cheers!!
i livee very near this castle and went to school with his daughter... We go to the castle to partys but i wouldnt stay by myself... Sean is so friendly and i was always amazed about how cool and calm he was about the ghosts...I remember when the most haunted crew wer there which was fun :)
@xxxaileenxxx11 Sean was a fantastic host. I'd dropped him an email while we were on the road, traveling Ireland. He told me just to stop by. He knew quite a lot of the local history and US history. I could sit and listen to him tell stories for days. His daughter stopped through a couple of times, but she was getting ready to play her harp at a wedding that evening. So, we didn't really get a chance to talk much to her. But, the visit was a great time. If you run into them, say hello for me!
@MostHauntedYT It's about 90 minutes inland (towards Shannon) from Dublin. It's not so much the distance as it is the fact that it's mostly N and R class roads.
I've also heard that the Elenmental is there as a protector of the castle. The root of the name elemental is 'element' obviously. Since the castle was burned, some could say it is a fire elemental, there to simply protect the castle from any further harm. But obviously, if you seem a threat to it or the castle, watch out.
I would be hesitant to call the Elemental a demon. Elemental is a manifestation symbolic for all of the misery and horror which happened in a particular area and it is grounded to that specific place. A demon on the other hand seems to exist purely to destruct upon people, places etc. and can latch itself to a person. Although the elemental might be malicious I wouldn't say it was a demon.
@foxy89100@foxy89100 Yes, he does. He and his family live in a finished part of the castle while he continues to work on restoring the rest. It's an impressive place.
There is an elemental spirit in my cellar, I see it sometimes. It has the face of a wisened old man and the body of animal/man. It has a smell that make you grab your nose. Ive seen this spirit on many of occassions. Its scary as it looks at you the way a cat would before it pounces.
@celticsrules one of these days I'll write up what I felt when I walked into that place, and again later. I'm not a believer in ghosts or spirits, but I'll say it was an interesting experience.
@Frostbyte380 A visitor to this video sent me a direct message that he recently visited the castle and did a write up on its history. It's a pretty good writeup. For whatever reason, YouTube won't let me post the link in this reply. So, DM me if you want the link on the writeup.
They say that the "elemental" is a half human half beast and has an odor of rotten flesh and sulfur. You are right, it is definitely a demon, or a fallen angel.
I was wondering; I did some research on your castle and how it so interesting. Is the story about the brother murdering his other brother in the middle of mass true? And if so do you know why the murder happened?
Castle's definitely not mine. I was just a tourist there and had the chance to meet with Sean Ryan--which is the video you saw. While in the bloody chapel, Sean explained that there was ongoing tension between the two brothers and that the brother, who was a preacher, started mass in the chapel without his brother, which was seen as an insult enough to kill his brother during the service in the chapel.

I didn't know the elemental was still around, I would certainly hate to run into that thing if it's malevolent.

What a charming harp in the background.
Flowbee79 2 years ago 5
@Flowbee79 His daughter plays the harp professionally and Sean, the owner plays the Tin Whistle and is quite renowned for his playing.

Good job. I always wanted to go to Leap and talk to Mr. Ryan about the history of the castle and its specters. You were very lucky. ....5 stars.
