If it's fictional then any race can have their own asian or hispanic or redheaded or arabic santa it's all just make belief and if ethnic parents want their kids to believe that there is this magical being that everyone loves and looks just like them, let them. Why does it have to be a heteronormative straight white christian man's world. Why not a female santa, it's just make belief.
well, before germany was americanized we celebrated the birth of jesus christ. so the "Christkind" was coming at the eve of the 24th. not a overweight man in a red suit and a big sack with presents and coca cola written on his sled...
I agree. Santa Claus was Saint Nicholas. Wasn't he German or Scandanavian?
I believe Jesus was Middle Eastern Jew.. not European or Black.
Racial groups all want to claim something important for themselves so they don't feel they are following an icon of some other race, and therefore being disloyal or an Uncle Tom. It is sad.
