  • echale mano! arriba arriba! yepa yepa!

  • @djpanik3d how the fuck do you expect to get anywhere with a name like djpanik? We all very much doubt you can do any better so be quiet, silly child. (owned).

  • Damn.

  • Awesome! I found myself swaying at the same time as you when it glitched out :-)

The APC and ableton were suggested to me on friday night.

And this jam is EXACTLY the way I want to make music, so cheers for sharing!

  • that was awesome. i do something similar but using live's native plugins for stability, had some problems with that in the past. check out my videos if you fancy some more contorllerism ^^. also: sexy rig.

  • this looks like a lot of fun... and very expressive as well.

  • @djpanik3d Where are your videos and music then buddy? If you have such strong opinions maybe you should back them up, otherwise go troll somewhere else - this is a place for people interested in controllerism and live electronic music; apparently not you.

  • @svankov Never mind that!! you can't please them all!! but you pleased me! :D very very nice! I personaly hate to see Dj pretending to turn buttons so they look busy between pressing play on decks! :P

  • @svankov he's probably venting his disappointed that the track finished before the 4/4 dropped lol

  • @djpanik3d This must be the first time you have seen a single person doing Live PA from behind the scenes.. most live Ableton artists do a lot les.. why dont you post up your music? lets see you do it better.. the man only has 2 fucking hands, and you are not taking into account the amount of time it takes to actually make a track, and then convert it for live play.. Eat a dick, dude.. Unless you can do better, you are just a critic with no first hand experience at what you are talking about.

  • Why aren't you famous? Amazing set.

  • That's fun stuff. Great to see controllerism move to instrumentalism.

  • охуенно

    u rock )

  • This is just brilliant! Well impressive.

  • U r sick bro! Keep doing it!

  • i would pay to go and see one of this guys gigs any day,

    mad props, killed that beat

  • fuckin ill, kid!!! yheeeeaaaaahhhhH!!!!!!!

  • cool!

  • coo l vid bro !

What's the screen (blue) on the right ?

What's the app on tha Monoome ?

    Peace

  • Wow....Awesome...! This sh*t is crazy, lol...

  • Oh and pardon my ignorance, but could either you or anybody else please tell me what that beat-synced red light strip is? It looked as if it was a part of the bcr2000 but pics of it suggest not (I've never seen one up close). Cheers.

  • Dude you're a freakin pure inspiration. I've been producing for years but you haven't just opened my eyes, you've melted my eyelids clean off with this vid. I'm sat here thinking, how long would this take to sequence by hand? I mean it would take days on end to manual automate all that shit. I am so damn inspired to start producing tracks live. Omg I can't even properly put into words how I'm feeling. Thank you sooo much for this! I could watch you perform forever.

  • Why are they sleeping on you? This is ridiculous!

  • super dope

  • super dope dude. it looks like you could either tear down a club or fly a spaceship with that setup. both are fine options.

  • you're honestly phenomenal man. In my opinion you blow everyone out of the water! I'd love to know more of how your running stuff especially with your apc 40. message me sometime! Thanks brother for these vids

  • seriously impressive man! creds ;)

  • This is badass

  • sick beats.

impressive what live can do. you have much more creativity that the average live users

  • whoa..! MAN!

this is really funky, love the way you are cutting up the beats!!.. how do you set it up to retrigger sections the way you do and also what filters are you using and how do you set them up? i'd love to see your ableton live set file to try figure out how it works..

Perhaps you should do a video showing how you have things setup mouldover style!

  • dang dood again? sheesh I thought that other jam was the shit but then I saw this. this is rockin!

  • man.. this must have taken ages to set up! Very impressive stuff :) What fx are you using? beat repeat, dblue, buffer override, heizenbox?

man.. I need to put some hours in setting up ableton! :D

  • Thanks for watching! I primarily use Lucifer VST and Beatlookup for most of the rhythmic manipulations. Some other tools to check out are Artillery 2, as well as Glitch (PC only).

  • fantastic man , 100% rytms !

  • ahhk sweet and software? are you only using live?

  • wow, this really inspires me to gett off my ass and start making beats, care to run us through what gear you have there, im a noob but i rekon i see a kaos pad and a monome, elighten me. look forward to seeing more, cheers.

  • Hey, thanks for watching! I'm glad you found this inspiring. My setup: monome64, kaosspad2, behringer bcr2000, mpd16, alesis airfx, korg nanokey.

  • @svankov I thought i saw a kaoss pad :) im getting a kaoss pad 3, im excited

  • I think this is by far the most impressive live jam i've seen EVER. Definately can't wait to see what you come up with next!

  • Comment removed

  • kick ass!

  • Dude....amazing.

  • insane

  • whoa, really sexy, do you do shows? If no, then why?

  • fucking tight, please god give you some free time so you can break down your technique

  • this is so pimp

you remind me alot of bassnectar mixed with some insane dnb

definatly do an explanation of what everything in this setup is doing

  • also is the monomes "sequencer bit" actualy sequencing anything or is it just to let you know where you are in the measure?

  • yeah... great stuff... please do a "how to" vid.

    cheers

  • This is great. Thanks

  • I think you should do a how-to /tutrial vid on how to accomplish this.

im serious lol.. this is crazy.

  • This has been requested by a few people, I think it's a great idea. Just need some free time to put this together, hopefully soon!

  • @HFTS1 Totally agreed!

  • Is that that just a light reacting to sound waves?

  • yep!

  • Sickness.

I almost thought it was somehow controlling something because at one point it looks like you are touching it. Sick jam, man. props:)

  • There's also an AirFX on the other side of it, maybe it looked like I was touching the LED while waving on top of the AirFX.

  • awsome :)

  • goddam man, this is awsome

  • are you using the BCR2000 to send midi messages to the Kaoss pad? or are those effects internal in Ableton?

  • No. Both the BCR and the KP2 are just sending MIDI to Live. All processing is happening in software (several Live effects, plus Lucifer VSTi and Beatlookup Reaktor ensemble).

  • Just wondering about the clips...have you wrote and mastered all the loops or have you go them from sample packs??

  • damnnn nice vid.

can you tell me what app you are running on the monome

  • The monome is just sending MIDI to Live via Max/MSP (a modified version of the MidiPress app), and controls a clip matrix in Live, an instance of Lucifer VST, and the Beatlookup Reaktor ensemble for beat indexing, slicing and dicing. If you have a monome and are looking to control Live (the clip matrix, specifically), you should check out the Monome Basic app, which actually allows your monome to work as a "control surface" in Live, so it's super easy to set up!

  • Some other (Ableton) effects in play are Simple Delay, Erosion, Redux, Grain Delay.. One "important" parameter (per effect) assigned to a top-row knob on my BCR2000. The nice thing is that these top-row knobs on he BCR have push-button functionality; I've mapped the push to turn the effect on/off. This way, I can push on a knob to engage the effect, twist the knob to change the "important" parameter, then release the knob to turn off the effect; this is quite effective for fast effect tweaking.

  • Actually, there's no BeatRepeat in my setup; found it a little too difficult and unpredictable to use reliably live. Instead, I am running Lucifer and the BeatLookup Reaktor ensemble (both hosted inside Ableton) for beat-retriggering/stuttering. Google these plug-ins to find out more about how they work.

I will be working on a video detailing my setup soon, so I'll post as soon as it's available.

  • honestly I'd love some more info on your effect setup, I'm assuming beatrepeat is doing a lot of work but I'd love a run through of exactly what you're doing. I hear a delay time being swept of course, and beatrepeat. do you have multiple beatrepeats set up to buttons on the bcr?

the reason I ask is that most the time this kind of stuff sounds terrible, so I'm wondering what the trick is to keep it from sounding jumbled the way it usually does. or are you just talented?

  • I like the live stutter effects at 1:02. Can you give a quick run down of how you were able to pull this off?

  • KP2 is just sending MIDI to a Reaktor BeatLookup instance in Live.. it's not doing any audio processing at all. Actually, just about all audio processing is happening within Live. Oh, and let's not forget the sound-reactive LED...sweet :) Thanks for watching!

  • I would like to learn more about this sound reactive LED bar you have.

Sweet track, you are a master of your craft.

  • @cheaplightning you can get one of those at auto parts store....its for a car....ive seen em with remotes that u can control the behavior and color scheme

  • is the Kaoss Pad 2 doing all of the live FX, or are you also using a software FX?

Is the BCR2000 routed to control parameters in the KP2?

damn, i wish i could afford a monome.

  • sweet!

i could hang with this guy.

eventually i'll get a digital camera after i complete my studio and upload a vid.
