  • My old Roommate just sent to me. We used to blow peoples minds with this album on the Klipschorns. I still have it in mint condition and the CD. Play the last song on this side "Ain't No Amercan Starship". Literally one of the best guitar solos ever played!! You will not EVER be able to pick out the lyrics being repeated during this solo though! hahahaha " That's It! --" Get in the right frame of mind - crank it up to 11 and enjoy that one!! wondering how you ever missed a classic like that!

  • I have this LP, vinyl, in my collection. I bought when I was a kid, just for this song.

  • For all of those trying to write out the first word... I had a buddy in the Army who bought this album when it first came out. The liner notes had all the lyrics, include that first word. That was way back in 1978 or 1979. Great tune, and some great guitar work. I like the sense of humor in it, too.

  • i have no idea what they are singing about but the beginning was cool

  • Comment removed

  • I had this on vinyl. Still got it somewhere. Ah, the heady days of browsing in second hand shops. They've cut it short, the single ends with "Hi Ho Silver, Away" from the american tv series. Simon Bates used to sign off his Radio One show with that same segment.

  • @jugofaceme Probably best to pick up a 7" version on ebay and rip it to mp3 yourself. That's what I'd do.. or search on soulseek.

  • @jugofaceme

Try asking in shops specialising in locating obscure tunes. I know theres a 7 and 12 inch versions, i have both.

You could also look in second hand stores and record fairs.

"newmonultramicroscopicmileculersclorosis" haha lol but great song!

  • My friends & I, I'm convinced, were a few of the handful of people in south central Nebraska who were familiar with this amazing band at the time of their LP releases, and this song used to send us into fits of "lysergic" laughter. Not only is it brilliant musically & lyrically, it showcases vividly what a brilliant musician (not to mention the other guys), vocalist & producer Rupert Hine was. SO glad you posted this; had no idea it even existed!!! Hiyo, SILVER!

  • What comes after the "tanatahu" part? I hear him say more, but I can't for the life of me find what it is.

  • @Hyduk87 That bit bit confuses me as well. Typically, the lyrics on the inner sleeve, are often mis-spelt, or, missing. Reciting it was once a party piece of mine!

    Sad eh:-)

  • Taumata-whaka-tangi-hanga-kuayuwo

    tamate-aturi-pukaku-piki-maunga

    horonuku-pokaiawhen-uaka-tana-tahu

    mataku-atanganu-akawa-miki-tora

  • NICE! You rock! Where'd you find it??? I was looking forever trying to find it, but every lyric site only contains the first part, thank you!!!

  • @Hyduk87

Actually i found it on the QJ wikipedia page

  • @mtfbmx : please tell me you googled that, and didn't try to transcribe it yourself....

  • see above
