If it wasn't so, How can Squirtle be able to beat Pikachu?

Pikachu is Electric-type & Squirtle is Water-type. If it was in Pokemon, Pikachu would win against Squirtle (Electric-type moves are a Water-type's weakness).

I have also seen that Lucario can beat Charizard. In Pokemon, Lucario would be in a major mismatch, as Fire beats Steel & Flying beats Fighting (Lucario is Fighting/Steel & Charizard is Fire/Flying).

Not only are you completly wrong but this isn't pokemon. It's SSBB. Ghost type pokemon have special attack moves and shadowball is one of them. Normal pokemon have a weakness against ghost not ghost against normal. Shadowball isn't even a ghost type move it's psychic.

No, Wave Dashing is not possible. They changed the airdodging mechanics in the game to utilize momentum instead of a chosen direction. However, you are not rendered helpless when you airdodge, and you can do it multiple times.
