Even though I appreciate your opinion, Ryan and Jason do NOT sounds alike at all. Your fooling yourself if you think they sound alike. Jason ends nearly every sentence with an upward thrust on the pitch. Ryan only does that when necessary.
There are people that would prefer Jason over Ryan, and most likely been into Sonic since day one, when Sonic was at his prime. Does that make them any less of a person, or Sonic fan? Just because of a different portrayal? I don't think so. Besides honestly if you had Ryan Drummond on the same Sonic 360, would that honestly make the game worth getting??

There is a diffrence between ryan and jason. When I hear ryan's voice, it was putting the best effort he could do. I'm not gonna say I hate jason's voice, he's OK, but I refer to ryan more. Somtimes, jason sounds a bit emotionless; he sounded like 14 year old sonic. Ryan gives the feel of enthusiastic, and possiblly, it never gets annoying.
AND Drummond doesn't say "4kids are mean. I'm a good sonic voice. Meh meh meh love me. Meh meh send angry emails to Sega." He doesn't moan at all. He just emailed SEGA if they are gone for sure. Seriously, that didn't make any sense.

I hate all of the 4kids voice actors, except Mike Pollock who voices Robotnik, he sounds almost just like Deem, but there's something that doesn't make him as good and funny. I say fire all the 4kids voice actors except for Mike, and rehire everyone else who used to voice act for Sonic, too bad Deem died.
Griffith has a very annoying speech pattern that he always talks in. Ryan Drummond sounds like a real person when he talks, Drummond is better at acting overall.
I hate griffith. I remember poping the shadow the hedgehog disk into my cube and hering his voice. They did to sonic what has been done to pokemon... horribly re-do the voices. I hate it for both.

Ryan gave Sonic attitude, Jason gives Sonic sarcasim, they sound different, and they act different, there is not connection to them. I never sided with either one until I noticed the difference.

I like Jason's also! But it just takes me a while to get use to. I could like be playing Sonic Heroes and hear Ryan's voice for a while then I go to listen to some of these trailers and hear Jason's voice and i'll be like whoa. But I do like Jason's voice. But I do disagree with what you said about Ryan's and Jason's voice sounding exactly the same. They sound pretty different to me.
But when you have a smexy voice like Jason's you don't really need to change it for other animes now do you? He's the only worthwhile thing in One Piece. I hate that show.
Jason griffith does a great job recording, His voice definitely fits sonic.
