TV's loss, but I'm glad I still get to hear his voice---he now works for the Georgia Bulldog Radio Network on the sidelines, doing Loran Smith's old job. He certainly has the drawl for it...now if we can only get him to say "y'all" once in a while...

Chuck Dowdle's last broadcast being the same day as Charlie Gibson's. He retired from the position he always sought after. But I am sure he is happy his career came full circle

Agreed, he was terrific at Channel 10 in Miami. Hard to believe it's been 25 years.

I had to chuckle at one aspect while listening to his final sportscast: That almost doesn't sound like the Chuck Dowdle I remember in Miami. He obviously regained plenty of his Georgia accent once he returned. And that's apropos.
