This looks like a wolf spider. They are pretty harmless and beneficial in that they help control other pests by feeding on them. This is also most likely a female judging from the size and all she wants to do is survive and raise her young.

It does look like a Hobo spider. Their bites can be painful and cause necrosis. Although some say its actually the recluse spider that is often the perpetrator.
