It works very well with iPhone 3G and 3GS and all previous models of iPod, but not with iPhone 4 or recent models of iPod. That sucks cause I just upgraded to iPhone 4 and can't use the Mikey Mic. Also check the iRig microphone. Not as portable but works with everything and you can monitor your recordings. Plus the app has lots of FX. I really like the Mike Mic though. I wish they make it compatible with iPhone 4.

To monitor with headphones the iPhone 3GS must be in 'Airplane Mode'. I think it works great!

Blue Mikey works fine with an iPhone 3GS, plug your earphones in first though then the Mikey

I tried a Mikey on my iPhone 3GS (unsuccessfully) last year. Just flat out didn't work. The thrill is gone.

Why does the video title say iPhone, when you are using an iPod? All the documentation says that the Blue Mikey is made for the iPod, yet Sonoma Wire Works claims that it works with the iPhone. I'm trying to figure out if the Blue Mikey will work with my iPhone 3GS. Thoughts anyone? Thanks.

TAKE CARE, Mikey CANNOT be used with the earphones procided with iPOD touch. Mikey covers the earphone socket. I have not yet found a suitable mic/earphone combination for iPod touch.
