Secondly, the more attempts you take, the lower your FG percentage gets when we're talking about game winning shots, many of which are HORRIBLE looks, and are usually well-defended. It is different to take a game-winning shot when you are a decoy and the defense is not focused on you, thus leaving you an open shot, or at least a good look at it. Kobe draws attention!

ANY player in the league who takes as many game winning shots as kobe, would probably have a lower percentage if defenses lock down on them, like they do Kobe. If you just look at all the MADE game winning shots, you will see just how DIFFICULT each of those shots were...that is why he has missed so many. It is not like he is taking wide open shots.

What does this mean? The stats are telling you who the better team was....but they still lost. One example of stats "lying". This notion that stats is everything is all BS. Sure they are important, but stats don't measure heart, determination, and other intangibles. Like a nice cut or a good pass.

He did 28 8 and 4, and he led his team to victory what else could he have done. And in Game 7, true he was 6/24, but to win the title, they knew it was a measure of toughness, and if they could win the rebound battle. Kobe grabbed 15 rebounds to help his team win. And 10 of his 24 points came in the 4th. Real winners find ways to helpp their team win.
