Hey alex, I tried this tutorial and it didn't work for me, my straightner is a 1 inch conair and I have pretty thick hair, kinda medium like yours, only shoulder lengh, all it did was give me bumps(like after you take a ponytale out) any ideas on what I did wrong, or how to get it to work?

You can do defined curls. There are like loads of different ways to get curls with a straightner, Different directions in twisting, and how long you hold it...I got tight curls too! not just loose.
