This is confirmed to work with two controllers and two XBox profiles in Splitscreen. As of 9/4/2011 this still works. You -don't- have to have XBox Live to do this. Didn't read most the comments, so I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this. Thumbs up so people can see this.

or a faster way, go multiplayer, select your char thats on 2nd playthrough, search for a game with the General Knoxx Map Pack that is spamming Crawmerax and join it, select the character you want to level up in lobby, start game, and let them kill crawmerax while you level....

When u are done doing the rank up glitch can your character still go up levels if you do it with a character that isn't lvl 61 or will it say you are that level but the real lvl is 1 and have to wait so long to actually rank up more
