how unethical are viaticals, profiting from death seems like something that would keep me up at night. But are they really unethical? It gives the ill person ready money so they can live it up while they are still here.
@clenny822 Thanks. It would depend on the company but usually earnings are more important than sales. Many banks which have sold homes for less than they have invested in the property would make sales but have no income. They would experience a loss. Sales can be helpful to show a company's growth but I am always looking for low price compared to high earnings and I like growth and dividends and volume. Thanks.
hey i like the last part which you told paintings...most people dont think about this and how did you get this thought......i appreciate your knowledge....
@rockerz242 Thanks. There are many artworks which appreciate remarkably in value as time passes.Andy Warhol and Norman Rockwell once were for hire for paintings. Now those pictures are very valuable. The same will happen with many of today's unknowns. Look for value in anything that lasts.
@tenaciousgod I won't give any specific recommendation. You can check ETF funds at Google or Yahoo Finance. Some symbols to start with, but I do not recommend them are IOO and GLD and SPY and DIA. Those are all funds that trade like stocks. Read many pages for many hours before you invest. Do not invest in any hot tip. Thanks.
Thanks for the time you have put out for ppl - even though you said it is primarily for the young guys/girls leaving education., this 40 yr old is getting a lot from your sage advice - I also liked the song about the xx wife! cheers mate
@TheLivingDeadOne I buy individual stocks and funds. I would not recommend REITs or stocks or real estate or anything in a general way. I pick certain REITs and certain stocks which look good at the time I buy them. I sell when I want some money to buy something I like better. I never time the "market" since it is no more meaningful than the value my car went up or down on a certain day. The market is something for newscasters to talk about but it is my own stocks I keep watching. Thanks.
Sir, I thought you are extremely good at music, singing and vedio editing. Obviously you are a man of all things of all nature and excel in all area. I salute you for your intelligence and your generousity for sharing. Bless your noble soul!
@szemingyam Thank you so much. I am very limited. I am quite terrible at sports and anything that requires tools such as construction or handyman projects. Thanks again.
I love these videos. I'm learning slowly and have practiced with a very small purchase through Sharebuilder (that's not doing very well but it was more for the experience of it than the value). These videos are helping me learn a lot and pointing me in the right direction to learn more. Thanks so much for taking the time to make them.
@PremeditatedTrickery Thanks. Actually I have often learned more about investing by losing than by winning. You are wise to start slowly and keep researching everything. There will be many new millionaires and you could be one of them. If not you can have the pleasure of pursuing the prize.

..city bonds, state bonds, federal bonds... you missed that there are also James Bonds.
WiseWeeabo 8 months ago
@WiseWeeabo Yes, but James Bonds pay only a mere .007 percent. Thanks. I wish I had invested in the James Bonds franchise.

Would you mind explaining why you use price/earnings ratio and not price/sales?

Good info...but you should be riding a bear or bull wearing a white cowboy hat to offer additional entertainment and integrity to the discussion. :)

Thanks. A bear most likely for now with a bull waiting in the wings.
