  • i liked the movie and all, but im just saying it could have been alot better, ALOT

  • @31luckyjay lol bro he played killing room floor and played with his teeth an behind his back head under his legs to show eric that he was just as good, he loved playing music but this guy did an awful job at trying to capture the esscence of jimis music like a real movie does what like jaquoein phoniex did with johnny cash an witherspoon did with carter he didnt catch that lol

  • also, the andre 3000 jh biopic would have been better than this.

  • I wish that the estate of hendrix didn't cancel the biopic that was to star andre 3000. he would have been great as jimi hendrix.

  • You know you guys talk alot of mess. You have alot of judgements and you werent there and I think Wood Harris did good at playing hendrix. He cant be like the real hendix he has to have his own way and style.

  • Good ..BUT ... HERE IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.. FROM Cream's manager: Hendrix went all out, blew everyone away and Clapton slipped off stage he was so floored... He tried to light a cigarette, but his hands were shaking so much he could not do it alone. You could say he was impressed.

  • como se llama la ultima cancion urgente pliss

  • from the bad acting in this movie ..it just proves that no one can capture jimi ..period ...not through music nor acting

  • It's hilarious to see this after watching 4 seasons of The Wire in a row..

  • This is like watching Lil Wayne pretend to play the guitar. Hopefully one day they'll make a Hendrix movie with a decent budget, cause this ain't it.

  • Jimi taking over the solo:

" let me show this motherfucker how to play this shit the American negro way"

    ;)

  • Everybody keeps complaining about the acting. What the hell did y'all expect? It's a movie made for the small screen!! I think Wood Harris did a good job with what he had to work with. So did Billy Zane.

  • Ok I guess I agree with everyone this film could of been better I think they just should have taken a little been more time time and focused on finding as much about jimi the man instead of just jimi the musician

  • i was hoping eric would live up to his name slow fingers and break a stirng

  • freakin chas chandler don't even have a geordie accent ! Man this is EMBARRASSING! A freakin insult to the master. AND he played Killin floor when he went to see Clapton - not this . fuckin shit.

  • he belw away eric i mean

  • jimi came on stage playing killing floor that's how eric blew him away not this lol

  • HAHAHAHA!!!! The guy who played Clapton is 10 times better looking, but he looks nothing like eric. The Other guy didn't look like Jack Bruce Neither. The other Guy did look kinda like ginger baker, but thats probably only because he had the red hair like em.

  • 0:47-3:22 the Best <3

  • Boo.

  • Jimi never played Hey Joe the same way place... he was much more wild on stage, this is way too like the recording...

  • @RandomRiff27 Dude you obviously don't have single clue how hard is for a director to get the movie in the right context. Plus the voice of this guy is warmer than jimi's so a wild performance would've been messy. If you to see exactly how it happened go watch a documentary about him. I love Jimi don't get me wrong but this movie is purely about the way Jimi got so many succes in his life. Minding all the details would make every biography movie crappy.

  • didnt they both play killing floor? And why is hendrix using wah wah, this is too early in his career for wah wah. Isnt Hendrix supposed to outshine Clapton, I don't see that happening.

  • omg what did he do to hey joe! sounded horrible! killed it!

  • Comment removed

  • Movie was pretty bad, i wanted my 20 bucks back when i saw it.

  • what a load of kak !

  • i love ginger baker in this movie, looks funny. but close enough to the real thing.

  • This was a LIE, y'all talkin' about the acting...the STORY is terrible...cuz it's a fucking LIE. Eric Clapton left the stage like a little BITCH. I wonder why they changed this part of this man's life?!???!? Like we ALL don't know.

  • @herelionlion

He didn't left the stage, that's a myth....but he said that Hendrix blew him away that night.....soon after that, they had become great friends

  • @sale83 I know it was noted that Eric said something like "Christ! is he really that good?" as he walked back/offstage

  • lol at about 9:23 u can see that his teeth doesnt even touch the guitar it so fake

  • man this is so horrible, i don't care if its low budget, for one thing that singer ain't black, second jimi clearly only plays in one place throughout the movie, and come on i don't think jimi thought he was chosen to be some music messiah

  • This is terrible. But they had a go haha

  • one thing Jimi was better then clapton

  • @zkira67light yeah there is fictive clapton better than fictive jiMI:d

  • Jimi chose Mitch Mitchell over Ansley Dunbar who would late play in Whitesnake.Jimi love them both so much he decided over a coin flip.

  • It would have been awesome if Hendrix joined Cream and they stayed together for a good while. The music they would have made would have been amazing. They would have been the greatest hard rock band ever.It probably would not ahve worked out because Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker have huge egos and being in a band with someone as great or better than them would have been intolerable to them.Being in a band with Eric was hard for them.Eric could have handled being in a band with an equal.

  • great great movie but all i have to say is whats up with that goofy ass oh shit i just got laid smile that he has in the movie lol

  • Clapton and Hendrix were actually good friends and had great respect for eachother.Clapton was devestated by Hendrix's death.

  • @BobReidy Is that the reason as to why he didn't go to Jimi's ("Clapton's friend") funeral?

  • Eric was in the middle of a drug induced depression at that time where he stayed in his house and did heroin when Hendrix died. The only people he saw during this time were George Harrison and Pete Townsend. The death of Hendrix,Duane Alman and his grandfather made it worse.Pete Townsend actually got Eric cleaned up.

  • at 5:37 it shows him not even playing the guitar, wow

  • wheres the lsd trip?? his first lsd trip was in harlem

  • CRAP !

  • haha 3:16, clapton did not shake hands with jimi, clapton got pissed that jimi was better then him and left the stage after about 10 minutes..

  • Dx AFRO DRAMA. Mitch Had no afro to start out with! And I thought Eric Clapton had one in 66, Mitch only had an afro becuase of his perm he got in 67!

  • I think he did a good job with the acting (aside from the performing bit) He talks just like him, and has the same mannerisms.

  • @ 1:45 there is wah and notice hes not using a wah petal. THE ACTING SUCKS ASS =/

  • what song are they playing at 51 seconds

  • @skizmsucks23 It sounds a bit like Cream's song Strange Brew on the album Disraeli Gears along with other songs on that album that you may know like Sunshine of Your Love

  • That movie feels so random.

  • What a bunch of BullShit! Clapton walked of the stage because he had no idea as to what in the hell Jimi Hendrix was doing, and he couldn't keep up with him. In reality Jimi started playing the old Howling Wolf classic: killing floor. Which sounds nothing like this crap that they're playing here. Go and watch-here on youtube-Jimi Hendrix killed eric clapton and you'll see what I'm talking about.

  • o really?

  • Someone needs to do a REAL biopic about Jimi Hendrix, like they did with Ray Charles, Johnny Cash and Muhammed Ali.

Wouldn't mind seeing a good biopic about Robert Johnson either.

  • dude the guy that plays mitchell is the same guy that plays robbie krieger in the doors movie

  • this is total bullshit haha if i was clapton baker or bruce id totally be insulted...

  • thanks man.

    great movie : )

  • hey "LithiumBoyxD" just a suggestion you could create a quickist from part one to part eleven and save it. Then you could watch it when you wanted to thats what I did. p.s I hope that helped :)

  • This portrayal was way too laid back. Jimi was an absolute force of nature.

  • @bigdatut how the hell do you know

  • @ajm2010ification Um... books... film... my fucking opinion... what's your point, dipshit?

  • @bigdatut are you sure. Look at the interviews of him and tell me that Hendrix was not really much of a laid-back person. In those days, every one was on LSD you know.

  • They almost shouldn't have bothered trying to recreate the performances, because they are crap, and they sound nothing like Hendrix or Clapton. And, I have read a number of accounts of the first time Jimi met Eric and jammed with Cream, and none of them said anything about them arguing about it. The truth is interesting enough for me.

  • bass playa got a jewfro

  • the acting in this is terrible.

  • i really did try wacthing this but this is pur shit they could had done a better job

they did jimi wrong with this shit

  • Amen to that.

  • @cumulo25 There was a new movie made with Andre 3000 playing Hendrix (to be released 2012), with Andre "actually" playing the guitar (unlike in this movie where he is just standing around with a guitar in his hand), but the Jimi Hendrix estate refused to license Jimi's music for the film, or for any film!

  • "guicar" lol

  • this isnt how the jam went

  • where I can download this movie pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaseeeeeee

    :D

  • and Chandler didnt change his name Jimi did, it said in a biography that Jimi always played around with names and changed them and said that he did it himself, they really shouldve made sure they were ready before making a movie about an epic story hopefully when they have more realistic dialogue and actors theyll be able to honor Hendrix

  • if they were gonna make him lip sync why not just do it to normal hendrix tunes? ahhhh how disappointing of a flim

  • What's the name of this Song they are playing?? And are there any other musicians playing this jam??

  • well.. it's more a jam than a song, but it's more like strange brew or lawdy mama (same song, just the lyrics are different and the lead guitar is a little different as well) = )

  • Thanks AVJ appreciate it

  • I love the fact that in the jam with cream hendrix is using a wah pedal, even though, he never used a wah pedal until '67, and Clapton was a couple steps ahead of Hendrix on the wah, when he played it on "Tales of Brave Ulysses".

  • wow

  • Jimi fucking mind blowing

  • How cool would it have been to be at the Cream concert with Hendrix.Talk about musical and guitar heaven.

  • this is awful. this is not even similar than jimi and clapton. chad looks a little bit look a like.

  • What the flipping crap that looks nothing like Clapton

  • hes playing a squier strat lol

  • clapton's hair is too short and his sg fool is painted wrong

  • 0:36 play jazz, clapton?

  • can he really bloody play chas, as in chas chandler, the guy who brought jimi over

  • LOL I thought that, he said Chas.

  • Pause it at 3:02. XD

  • woow first thing i saw was john lennons face

now thats great :D oh by the way jimmy hedrix was playing next to eric clapton or is it some body else??

  • The actor does a pretty good impersonation of Hendrix, but the singing isn't very similar.

  • the guy who is singing in jimis place on the songs is white..i can just tell he sounds way off..from jimis voice.

  • i like ray charles and sam cooke

  • no teeth solo? :(

  • Go check out the band Kick the Ashes

  • I think Jimi jammed "Killing Floor" on Acid at 3x the normal speed, with Clapton.

  • yes. yes it is.

    it is indeed john lennon.

  • I was talking about the movie. I KNOW it's not right. And, for you're fuckin info, I know more about Jimi thank you ever will. Peace

  • What an epic movie! I never saw this before and I am loving it so far. Thanks for the upload!

  • its so inaccurate man idk what ur talkin about. loads of thigns are wrong with this movie.. i dont think u a true jimi fan

  • He can be a true fan and still enjoy the movie. Just cause he likes it doesn't mean he doesn't know about Jimi, and anyways, who said you have to about all the details in Hendrix's life to be a fan of his. It's all about the music. I don't think Jimi would be the way you are- judging people about if they're a fan or not. He wanted to share his music with everybody, who are you to judge if he is a fan or not?

  • my point was that this is not an accurate movie it has lots of flaws, and if u cant recognize this i just dont think u are a true fan of his work.. this movie makes jimi seem greedy and selfish.. that's my point.. he was saying this is a great movie.. but in fact its an insult to Hendrix.. much like Oliver stone's The doors. how it portrayed Jim Morrison.. awful.

  • You know what, you're right. I wouldn't say it's awful, I think it's pretty entertaining, but it is an insult. I think you can still be a fan of his music if you don't understand the flaws in this film, but maybe not a true fan of the man himself. When I started listening to Hendrix I didn't know shit about him for a few months even though I loved his music like no other.

But you're right about the portrayal thing and the facts being wrong. I mean they have him playing a rightside up strat!

  • thank you.. thats what i was trying to say..well we can all agree that Hendrix is and always will be a LEGEND..

  • And I don't know what it is with Stone's movies but he always represents musicians as conceited rock star junkies that only care about the money, partying, and the women. I mean really the way Val Kilmer played Morrison was spot on the way he looked, sounded, and carried himself, but the way Stone made him look was a huge insult. The man was a nice guy, just because me messed around with some drugs and women doesn't make him a horrible, arrogant person. I mean, honestly, Stone is stupid.

  • yep yep. i have yet to see Nixon which is also directed by stone.. i heard it was bad.. anyway i agree with val kilmers acting he looked sounded like him, but stone fucked it up.. that's why ray manzarek and john densmore did not agree with the movie. there is a new one out its call "When you're strange" its a documentary well done played by the real deal..( i mean Morrison himself and the rest of the crew) the gathered rare non seen clips and made the documentary

  • Did stone do "W." too? It looked awful

  • yeah it was bad....

  • maybe he was greedy maybe he wasnt thats not gonna change the way people think and fell about him i see this movie for the character not the acting

  • the acting makes the character look wrong. but w,e not gona discus that anymore this movie sucks and so does all oliver stone films.. LONG LIVE JIMI
