Actually I just looked again and what she calls "arches" are actually different than what I've seen called "whips" or "cuts" which are like diagonal, sideways movements. I'm pretty sure these arches have the knee and leg going straight up.
A lot of it is just what your school calls them - we say "tip lean" for the same thing as she calls "brush down." And we say "whip" for what she calls "arches."
Thank you so much for this!!!! I'm so glad you go nice and slow and repeat it over and over. It's way too hard to learn when people go too fast!

hmm i always find it interesting how you call them 'shuffles' and 'arches' instead of 'trebles' and 'cuts' i wonder what accounts for this difference
