12.51pm on Feb 22nd the big earthquake hit, 172 confirmed dead,still hundreds missing a month later. people still have no help, i helped a dear 80year old who was still shoveling silt building up, he said i was the only one in 3weeks that asked to help him, he shovels everyday wheelbarrows of heavy liquifiction,heavy like wet cement. the horror and loss and terrifying haunting ordeal will never ever heal.

Actually a 6.3 magnitude. 32 confirmed dead at this time. The original quake also occured early in the morning, this happened in the middle of the day. One slightly fortunate aspect on the timing was that it was lunchtime - had it happened an hour or so later, far more people would've been back in their office buildings which collapsed.
