The south felt that the dictated too many state laws. Further, removal of slavery would destroy their economy. And they hated that the Republican Lincoln won the presidency despite the fact that only northern states voted for him.
Northern commoners didn't care about blacks since they weren't common there.
Haha, also to keep in mind, the north were liberals (Republicans), the south were conservative (Democrats). :P

Can someone help me please? Whenever I try to play, I get a black screen and when I press a key the game crashes and gives me an error code. I tried patching it but it just messed the files up and made the situation even worse. I have a backup though. Any help would be very much appreicated!
really i didn't even use tanks or planes in ww1 usually a good mix of artillery, at guns, doughboys and partisans usually wipes out everything, and bring in flak traks for people who use planes alot. The Planes die easily and tanks well not as effective as one might think against my army. I usually dominated with Russia.

its been ages since i played my European Roleplay scenarios. Only made Industrial and World War One, was planning on making a World War II Pacific scenario, having two players playing Imperial Japan and two players playing US, two players playing the British Commonwealth and 2 playing Russia and China. Was even going to add the option of switching production of the medium tanks from regular to ones with flamethrowers, by entering it in chat.

I remember playing this game 6+ hours a day when I was 11/12. I payed it with my birthday money. Oh man, if I spend as much time playing the guitar now as I did with the scenario editor back then, I'd be a goddamn virtuoso. Good times, I still like to play the occasional random map every few weeks.
I totally know what you mean. When I was around that age I often played 6+ hours a day too. I once stayed up all night and made my all time record with a 12+ hour non-stop multiplayer diplo game. As an adult, it takes alot of effort to muster that kind of passion for something, even for fun. Those were good times indeed. As a matter of fact, I'll bet if you played online, we might have actually shared a game in the past. Cheers to the glory of EE!
Anybody else think EE3 sucks? EE was great, EE2 more so....but 3....Don't like it. I am also disappointed with......and call me crazy....Red Alert 3. I thought RA2 was cooler, & C&C Generals, & C&C3 also better. Rise of Nations is great also. Cool post BTW
@gjc82071 i disagree, ee1 is far better than ee2, cuz the zones where a pain in the ass, and the building limit per zone more so, as i said, ee1 have a lot of freedom and variety, the only way that they could make better the game is with more graphics, more units, and hambient stuff, like earthquakes, rains, and other random stuff
I agree with you, EE2 was good with only the exception of the territories and every territory you own adds to your population. All what EE needed was better graphics, more units, weather, and the time of day. stuff like Earth Quakes would be a pain in the ass but makes the game more life like. Also Volcanoes, but I agree that EE2 would have been better with the same amount of freedom as EE1

U surely can cheat in multiplayer.. with food/gold/iron etc etc.. just press the hotkey of a citizen or whatever to make one, than press trade when the recources arent spend yet and trade all your food to someone and than press cancel.. u will get all ur recources back and a citizen.. same works with buildings but u gotta be verry fast than

All what EE needed was better graphics, more units, weather, and the time of day. stuff like Earth Quakes would be a pain in the ass but makes the game more life like. Also Volcanoes, but I agree that EE2 would have been better with the same amount of freedom as EE1

u were only playing ww1 game? EE is a large game with lots of epochs and u r only using 1 :(
i use to play from copper to nano :) , we dont like the expansion

U surely can cheat in multiplayer.. with food/gold/iron etc etc.. just press the hotkey of a citizen or whatever to make one, than press trade when the recources arent spend yet and trade all your food to someone and than press cancel.. u will get all ur recources back and a citizen.. same works with buildings but u gotta be verry fast than
