This is the best compost bin I've seen on all of Youtube. It don't cost a dime, does the job of holding stuff in. No need to overthink it, slap it together and fill it with stuff.
This is probably the best compost bin video on here, very honest and correct. Its ironic when web sites or videos will tell you to go buy a lot of materials, even including plastic, and then say how composting is good for the environment
Going to use the pallet method. I have trash cans with holes drilled all over. They do work but are hard to turn. I agree 100% on no meat eating animal wast or himan wast. I live in a neighboorhood so I would have to use a front pallet so neighboors did not have to look at the composting. It will also keep the critters out of it. to all those that will try to pick up pallets behide stores DONT DO IT, IT IS STEALING, you can be put in jail, you can recive a large fine, it will be on your record forever. there are people who discard pallets that are free but ask first. most places have to swap out pallets so they have a dollar value, ($40) 10 of these makes it grand thift. BEWARE
@MrWildkat yea i have to agree with mrwildcat, if you work in a market, these things are money, just like plastic milk crates. It got so bad with people stealing them, we had to start keeping them stacked in the back of the store. some places you can get them for free (my local newspaper does), but call ahead and ask. I really don't see the infatuation with using these, it's just a herd like mentality i guess, use some ingenuity. it's keeping leaves in a pile for god sake.
If you add the fourth side, it will work much better. Also go down to local coffee shop and get their coffee grounds and add them in, the pile will hit the thermophillic stage and stay there forever! You should also compost your own human waste.
WEll it is already smokin hot...no fouth side....makes it harder to turn. HUMAN waste has all sorts of nasty stuff....Never ever compost your crap..please.........thanks for the comment.
@london1817 you're a bit narrow minded about human waste. People have been doing that for centuries. I've been doing it for 1 year but will let it compost for 4 years before using it on my vegetable beds. See Joseph Jenkins humanure web-site and youtube videos. it's safe to do and good for the environment. It saves me a lot of money as I use very little water now.

HOW CAN YOU FIND OUT IF THE PALLETS ARE TREATED WITH ANY CHEMICALS?
