it might be hard for someone under 35 to understand but a performance like this was unheard of until Live Aid. A band like Hall &Oats backing up Mick Jagger was a surreal moment. Their style of music and their fan base were, musically speaking, in two different dimensions. Add Tina Turner and Eddie Kendricks & David Ruffin(of the Temptations) to the mix meant there was a lot of star power on stage in the final hour of Live Aid.

he didn't perform that well on this one, but if you see just another night... Far better, maybe it's because of the more growling sound he used in the 80's.... He made a more violent growling sound in the 80's...

@Tarantella77 When was it ever good? Jagger's voice is quite shabby from a technical POV, but it "works" with most of the material he sings. He's doing alot of that growling stuff here which I notice he does often on his solo records compared with how he sings on most Stone's recordings. I always thought it made him sound sorta cartoonist and goofy.
