Ha I like your reasoning ! On a personal level I think you are right - he should get a badge saying 'I taught DADA and survived' - it would be a lonely club though - just him on his own.

Ironically I think that Barty Crouch Jr was the best as what he taught Harry prepared him for the battles to come better than any of the others did. Without him voldemort would have won which is ironic as he was trying to make voldemort win but indoing so caused his downfall.

No he served as Muggle Studies Teacher before, took a year to get some real world experience of DADA, returned assumed the position and then died later that same school year

Besides he might be able to rebuild a new life with new memories so eventually with time he might actually be able to get out of the wizarding hospital, even if he can't remember his past. Exactly the teaher who taught them sod nothing is the only one with ANY hope of having a life of any degree of quality, cause even if he stays at St Mungo's the rest of his life, he's treated well there and still recieves fanmail, whereas Umbridge will be spending her time looking as dank stone walls (even if Kingsley calls off the Dementors) for many years to come.

Thats so true. I feel bad for im though cuz he can't remember anything, but maybe it could be considered then that he got a better life out of it as he now isn't faced with feeling guilty about all those lies and he can answer his fanmail thinking that he's done these great things. So really being DADA teacher and the accident made him a better person :)

Well he can't steal anyone else's works as his own now. Plus sooner or later he would have got himself killed otherwise. In his defence the duelling club was a good idea, shame he knew absolutely nothing about duelling.

Maybe, if so then that is about the only good thing Lockhart can claim responsibilty for, the sad thing is, is that when he did try to do his actual job, instead of talking about himself all day, he actually made things worse. The pixies, the duelling club, the snake, Harry's arm, everything just descended into a farse as soon as he got involved, but at least he didn't try to kill anyone, which few other DADA teachers can claim. And thats just sad...

True, but Umbridge didn't aid that in anyway, in fact she tried to have Harry arrested for it. She neither aided, allowed or taught Harry the skills he used. Yes they learned more in year 5, but it was no thanks to Umbridge.

In my opinion, Snape was the most amazing teacher. He was the most powerful (besides the Headmaster, Dumbledore, of course) he was the sexiest, (Hehe) the most mysterious and effective, and the one that took the most risks and proved to be good and the only one overcame evil. Go Snape!

Well yes, Snape was probably the most powerful of them and played the biggest role, but ultimately this video isnt about who was the best teacher, it was who suffered the least from the experience, Snape was a better teacher, but he's dead, so are the rest except Umbridge and Lockhart, shes in Azkaban, and he's just in hospital.

Still it wasnt meant to be taken too seriously, the idea that one of the worst teachers came out best made me laugh. Thanks for commenting.

Yeah, I think Snape was the best, too! I mean, Harry hated him and stuff, but if he hadn't been so biased he would have seen that Snape actually taught them the most useful things, and the lesson that was described in HBP (about the non-verbal spells) sounded really interesting. And Snape actually did exactly what Harry wanted to do in the DA: teach them spells that would really help them against the Death Eaters. So, yeah, he was by far the best. Even though Lupin was great too :)

Yes all true but ultimately the bias was not just from Harry, Snape did carry an unjustified vendetta against Harry from day one. I was on my companion vid very divided, I decided to put Lupin just ahead, because A he was far more pleasant and B: Harry himself gained more from Lupin's DADA, while Snapes lessons while useful never seemed to benefit Harry as much, because he still uses incantations all the way through book 7.
