@inlovewithKStewart22 I am more than certain that you will be able to pull of the French accent. Also if you want to play Lumiere, go for it. I'm going to audition for Belle in November in my home town community theater. I've gotten almost all of her lines down. Also a little advice from me to you, sing and act like there's no one listening. The stage can be your companion if you let it. I know I'm going to sing and act like there's no one listening. I'm going to dance as well.

I love this scene because, I just LOVE it when Lumiere says,"You cut me to the wick." Some times people say," You cut me to the quick". Which in interpretation means, "You really hurt my feelings". I hope that piece of irrelevant info was helpful to any guy who did play or wants to play Lumiere.

We did this at our school! I was the Understudy to Lumiere, and my babette and I found this video and did this! It was a crowd favorite =)

I did this show in high school, and I got to play Cogsworth. Out Babette was so much better than this girl, though! She was on student exchange from France, so, her accent was of course perfect and she was simply a better actress. My director also blocked this scene better, but she went to West Michigan (where the original Mrs. Potts, Beth Fowler, went to school), so, what can you expect? :)
