I love this band, when I'm walking through the halls of my high school, I feel like I'm walking where greatness has walked through, I even love seeing the original Fritz's Corner.
@ColorsBright Universal Music put out the greatest hits CD, and since Half-Life is from Palm Pictures, it couldn't be on it. The Island Years only includes music from Local H's first 3 CD's.
Local H has been trying to get rep for years but it never works out, they even played on the Conan O' Brien show and their still not as popular as they should be, so their asking for your help to make them as big as most rock stars, post comments, make videos, give shoutouts, whatever it takes they need some help, and whats better at getting people popular than youtube?
@garbagepailrejects I listened to Hilary Duffs song and I can hear the part that makes it sound like this song but it's just the small drum bit before the chorus that sound similar. Otherwise they're two different beasts altogether...with LocalH being the bigger beast ofcourse!:-)
Hey Dragon, I'm one of those suckers that is half alive and half dead too. What do you do? Can I do it too? I love Local H, I lve this song and I hear the message!
Man this song is actually pretty depressing coming from a working class perspective. Its pretty true to the proletariate lifestyle. "Half alive and half dead too", "Work is for suckers and the sucker is you", "alcohol will be your only relief", and "falling asleep and waking up is the same." Damn, I can't wait to finish my degree...
I'm pretty sure it was released in '02. I have every album of theirs and they all fuckin rock... hamfisted is their first album. Check it out, not many people have heard it.
They still play in like clubs and bars all that jazz but they were never really a famous band just like suicidal tendencies all the good bands get looked down on and local h is an amazing band
I dunno,Rolling Stone named the new drummer "the hardest hitting man in rock"-good compliment, coming from them.I agree though-Joe kicked ass in the band and he was 50%,since theres only 2 in it...:)
After pick up the cats, I really never got that into them. I loved ham fisted and as good as dead and pack up the cats, after that, I just lost interest. I would still see them today cause they rock but there songs after those albums I mentioned I dont think were really that solid. I though this was one of there worst actually.
I totaly Agree. Good as dead, and pack up the cats were epic, but 12angry months, WTF happend? I still love local H but nothing will ever beat as good as dead.
I can agree with that statement, but Here Comes The Zoo had some killer songs. Along with some highly underrated tracks, like "Keep Your Girlfriend" and "Bryn-Mawr Stomp"
I agree. I love Local H, and they really make some great music. Here Comes the Zoo is not a "bad" album at all, but if you compare it to their previous efforts, it is their worst album. Again, it's NOT a "bad" album, but it is their worst comparatively. With the exception of Half Life and Baby Wants to Tame me, it just doesn't have the same energy or fun. It just felt over produced. With Local H, the more basic and stripped down the tracks are, the better they sound.
the snare is super bottom heavy, but it hits heavy, bonham style, which is what they're going for. how can you claim to like H and not like this song? Dorky?! You're a fucking dork spy club? what the gay? fag.
you have no clue about snares. it is certainly not bottom heavy. it sounds dull as a butter knife. no attack. just a dud thud. no one has to love every song to be a fan. if you like sucking scott and brian's cocks then that makes you the fag. end of story case closed.
Yes I did fail...at sucking their cocks...but you my friend have success written (or splattered for that matter) all over your face. Check and Mate. Next....
maybe so. everything else on here comes the zoo sounds okay. but this song just sounds unfinished. incomplete. unmixed. to me it sounds forced. JUST MY OPINONS HERE!
You guys probably wont believe me but my dad is in this video, he heard about it and he got into it when it was filmed in the twin cities. he is #4, black and white car
Always dissapointed in the lack of Gordon Freeman.

@MrGAKBAG I wish I could feel the same way. My high school's claim to fame is it is the high school where John Holmes went to.

@donwantstobesedated And the sad thing is that every time I ask someone what they think about Local H, they ask who they are.
MrGAKBAG 8 months ago
@MrGAKBAG Local H is bad enough, I have people ask me who Nirvana is.
It's like the world didn't exist before 1999, and even then they weren't paying any attention.

Why is this not on the greatest hits cd?
