Kumar Sanu's voice is sweet, deep and beautiful. it sounds even better on low notes.Sonu is also good but his voice appears to be suppressed, lacks throw.This is quiet obviouswhen sonu starts singing. This is true that nobody coulld match Sanu at his peak.Great video.

There definitely was a time where Kumar Sanu was number one. but in those days, artists didn't need remarkable talent.. Udit & Kumar basically monopolized film industry due to the passing away of legends like Kishoreda and Mohd. Rafi sahib. but nowadays, both Udit & Kumar jee have to admit, Sonu is much higher than them. If you're doubtful, watch:

i guess only hard core Bengalis will say that Sanu is better than Sonu. Sonu,in my opinion,is the only singer we have who can match upto the late Kishore Kumar and Mohd Rafi. Just listen to his songs in other languages as well..the emotion/feeling he brings in his unmatched and moreover when you watch him perform, you get the feeling that he is a real lover of music who takes his craft seriously and brings that integrity into his performance

nothing abt Bengalis or non-Bengalis....people may love Sonu Niagm more these days..bt remember people equally went crazy after Sanu da, and Sonu was no where near...Sanu da commanded the highest fees for his songs..every legend has his time..even Sonu's popularity is on the wane..it is not as high as it used to be say in 2001-2002 when he was cutting albums after albums...And importantly Sonu's voice may sound sweeter but it is feminish..no one can match the boldness and gusto of Sanu's voice..
