  • Amazing! He's brilliant!

  • Hilarious!

  • Personaaaaaaalities!

  • his shirt almost matchs the wallpaper

  • What a tool. Terrible impression... Not funny at all

  • It's interesting how William Shatner's voice was sharper and higher-pitched in the original series than it was in the movies.

  • @deepvoodoo

Thts down to the quality of the recording equipment of the time.

  • Didn't Kevin Pollak die or commit suicide recently? Great impression!!

  • Personalities!

  • haha this is spot on

  • this guy can seriously impersonate anyone

  • Happy 80th Birthday Kirk

  • Kevin Pollack sounds more like Shatner than Shatner does lol.

  • There is a Facebook event for Shatner's 80th birthday that is getting a lot of attention by word of mouth. We'd love to see all of Bill's fans join in!

    facebook/Talk.Like.Shatner/

  • their personalities, their person..aaaalities!! hahahahaha absolutely mint!!

  • It has been said that when someone thinks they are doing a Shatner impression they really arent... What they are doing is Pollak as Shatner cause yes he is THE BEST at it

  • This is amazing haha..........I can't stop watching!!

  • This is better than the real William Shatner!!!

  • Best Shatner since Shatner himself.

  • That was hilarious....LOL

  • holy shit. every word he said was consummately perfect. so perfect, in fact, that my redundancy was completely necessary.

  • How could you not like this!??

  • I don't......KNOW!

    LOL

  • Nice!

  • He should have been Kirk in the reboot and not Chris Pine, lol

  • @GNeuman star trek wasn't supposed to be comedy

  • @DShadow911 I know it was supposed to be serious. This is just a caracature of it.There were one or two Lost in Space- like campy episodes like Trouble with Tribbles. I Mudd and A Piece of the Action .The early part of the first(black and white)season of Lost in Space was deadly serious but then by the second and third season it got silly and campy.Star Trek stays mostly serious and cerebral during its original run.

  • Star Trek always had comedic elements, dialog, asides. Did you see TOS?

  • Outstanding!

  • HOLY SHIT, that was awesome. =P

  • WOW!!! This is AMAZING. LOL. He is the perfect Kirk.

  • It will cost more because Caliendo owns it. Pollak has Walken.

  • It will cost more because Caliendo owns it.

  • Brilliant!

  • Awsome Impresion of Bill Shatner

  • shatner is a better actor then kevin plllak...

  • What the hell is the purpose of that soccerball in the lower corner of the screen. Summon demons?

  • @Hapafull It's the sound of vuvuzelas, a south african instrument that they pass out at world cup games

  • Genious :)

  • LOL the only thing that would make this perfect would be the ability to teleport XD

  • This was very funny, but he doesn't impersonate Shatner so good,he's too over the top.

  • @TheEloeo yeh its a comedy

  • That's awesome! You've definately got a good feeling for his facial expressions and "style" of speaking! =)

    Keep it up!

  • @Psalm15LifeGoal what? this 20 years old

  • @Philllllll So?

  • Utterly fantastic. Made me cry laughing.

  • haha

    0:24

    personAAAAAlaties

  • This is very clever, and highly accurate. . . And very, very funny! 5/5, and long live Star Trek =P

I was curious, does anybody know if Kevin Pollack did the Shatner voice on Family Guy episodes?

  • A Shatner impression to end all Shatner impressions?

  • Oh Good God that's funny!

The funniest part is: it's not that much of an exaggeration! Ah, but ya gotta love the Shat.

  • LMFAO hahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaahhahahahahaah WOW

  • omg. Awesome

  • That was awesome! He sound's JUST like William Shatner, not just with all the funny emphasizing and pauses. Great Job!

  • lol That was great, only marred by the last statement about "takes lot of cash to get the rest."

  • i laughed so hard

  • stardate: 2....4.................76.5 ;-)))))

  • laughing my ass off without rolling on the floor :)

  • yep, me too :o)

  • Never roll on the floor, it is quite filthy lol. Bu feel free to laugh your ass off!

  • este cerdo es la imitación sygreaser!!

  • I think the Family guy sketch takes a lot from this

  • lol

  • Here's my Ricardo Montalban impression:

  • OMFG! I almost wet myself! xDDD

  • Does anyone know the name of the movie in which he played a sidekick/partner cop to (I think it was) Wesley Snipes? There was one scene when they were walking down the street and Kevin did a brief bit of his Shatner impresssion.

  • I think that was ricochet with denzel washington

  • that's right

    thank you

  • thats such an awful movie

  • He should do the new William Shatner. William Shatner doesn't even act like that any more. He should do the "Priceline" Shatner that Frank Caliendo does.

  • This is funny because he overdoes it.

  • Exactly! It's (only slightly, perhaps) exagerrated, and that's exactly what makes it so funny!

  • Haha!! Actually, not half-bad! x3

I love the Shat to death, but this was funny. Just an exaggeration of what Shatner did naturally in character.

  • Makes me realize by seeing how awful this impression is (good imitation but no where near the impact of Shatner), how good an actor Shatner actually was in that show.

  • OMG dude that was hilarious!!

A darn good impersonation I must say...

I myself do a cheesy impersonation of Kirk and get a lot of laughs from it.. But this is fantastic!

  • LMFAO on the way he moves his head at "Although the faces seem the same" reminds me the cartoon character Johnny Bravo.

  • for anyone else who watches Stargate Atlantis by any chance, doesn't he look almost like Dr. Rodney McKay (actor David Hewlett)?

  • Wow! That was GREAT! One of the best impressions I've ever seen!!!

  • His impression makes me laugh every time! He really was the first to do the William Shatner impression this way. Just about everyone that has characterized Shatner since has pretty much based it off of Kevin's version. His Walkin is great too!

  • That was brilliant! - I love that actor!

  • this was cracking me up, but i thought it was lame that he commented about how we have to pay "lots of cash" to see more.

  • no one cares

  • Why would it be lame, he makes a living from being a comedian. Do you go to work for free?

  • He has Cpt Kirk off right . LOL.

  • I always loved Kevin Pollack's impression of Kirk. I had heard rumors that Shatner wasn't too fond of Kevin's impression cuz it made fun of his dramatic pauses. But I saw Kevin sitting near him on the stage at the William Shatner Roast so this was obviously untrue. Unbelievably, they never showed Kevin doing his classic impression of Shatner in the show! I just can't believe he wouldn't have done it with a once in a lifetime oppurtunity like that. But at least we have youtube right?

  • Personaaaaaaaaaaaalties!

  • The inflection on that word with the facial expression is PAINFULLY hilarious!

  • Stingy

  • Poolock also does an excellent Christopher Walken imopression. Something else I remember him doing is Captain Kirk as Walken would have played him.

I need to see that clip! Where is it?

  • ive met him and made a commercial with him

  • I loved his Capt. Kirk impersonation in the movie Ricochet.

  • You're a freak Spock, you belong in a circus!

  • Fantastic!

  • so funny.

  • He does Shatner better than Shatner.

  • HAHAHAH HILARIOUS!!!

  • lmfao, that's brilliant

  • meh

  • HAHAHAHA SUPER

  • He was always having a.....fistfight.....with someone.....in some sand.

  • he sounds just like kirk lol

  • The idea that some sub-humans would relate this to Family Guy in ANY way other than plagiarism is a sick fucking joke.

  • is your profile pic john hammond from jurassic park >_>

  • Thanks. I am a long-time fan of Attenborough, both as an actor and as a director. I'm even a bigger fan of his brother, David, the zoologist/broadcaster.

  • Whoever thought Kevin committed suicide is a big dumb pothead.

  • yeah he's funny

  • i got no cash so ill wont be seein!!!! fk!

  • Holy Shit I thought this guy was Richard Jeni!

  • kaaaahnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!

    lol.

  • No he didn't, wtf.

  • I think your thinking of richard jenni

  • brilliant !!

  • it's brilliant

  • I can't stop watching this.... fuckin' hysterical

  • thats what makes it funnier. you fail

  • He's Shatnering, you muppet. That's what Shatner DOES.

  • He must really love the character of Captian Kirk. To imitate him so well...

  • It's funny because it's true. William Shatner did all this and more :)

  • i think maybe the Family Guy people watched this before doing their William Shatner animation.... they move the same way haha

  • Seth McFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, claims to be the biggist Star Trek fan on planet . That's why he put it in his first episode. IHe said that he's seen the episodes hundreds of times.

  • Seth McFarlane is as funny as monkeys being shot to death.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Coolest shit I've ever seen. I also love Family Guy's impression of William Shatner....Hilarious

  • He's great at that shit!

  • yeah, if they cant get the shat in this new star trek movie stick kevin pollak in instead. thats fabulous and really funny.

    atvmidlands UK

  • hahahahahha =))

  • BRILLIANT. Put HIM in the upcoming Star Trek movie!

  • Great impression!

Apologies for saying this, but it's not "appologies" ;)

  • lol better then the original

  • "FASCINATING"

  • ach dong mu muha mua ping ha ache

    its clingon

  • Shatner does it way better.

  • Absolutely amazing! He uses the exact same inflections and even sounds like him!

  • duuuuude! This guy's amazing!

  • ...hahaha...another good one...

  • He's like that Kirk robot clone in one of the episodes.

"Spock, you green blooded half breed."

  • damn that sounds just like shatner

  • His Shatner has been the best for a long time.

  • Trek fan says...woooorrrddd.....awesome

  • Good stuff! Thank you.

    wordwan

  • One of the best Shatner impressions I've seen yet

  • Kevin gets the closest of anyone. His voice is very different but he has the style down - in an only somewhat exaggerated fashion - very well. Most people who don't actually listen to Shatner try to pause on every word (and it just sounds stupid) but Kevin realizes there's an actual method. Shatner (at least TOS Shatner) speaks like a baseball pitcher throws. Assume posture, pause long enough not to balk, wind up, then throw the rest out.

  • Hes Verry good

  • "... their person-AL-ities have altered.." Kevin is hilarious.

  • So many actors have done exaggerated impressions of Shatner as Kirk. But the very best I have ever seen was not only an *accurate* voice mimic (not over-exaggerated like this) but also an accurate body language mimic as well. To see it, search for "STAR TREK the Ecology Syndrome" here on YouTube.

  • I don't know. I think this voice sounds more realistic. But the ES Kirk's mannerisms are absolutely perfect.

  • Very cool. Shatner pioneered pause acting as I have heard it called. Pollack does the best impersonation ever.

  • 'Pause acting' -is that real? Cos if it is Im gonna start mentioning that. A lot. And. Hopefully start implementing it within. My....regular speech pattern.

  • I....can't believe you would implement....that in....to your speech pattern.

  • personaaaaaalitieeeeees ... :-))) haven't seen the old star trek in years, but when i see this impression, i'm reminded of the way shattner spoke! great

  • Nice Video! Download and save this youtube video to your harddrive with _youtubex.com_

  • Oh great, it´s really Kirk! :o

  • lets chip in so we can see the rest...i've got about 6 quid with Kevin's name on it

  • thats hilarious! havnt seen much of this bloke here in the UK but that shatner impressions is awesone. shatners a legend. cheers and thanks

  • LOL very talented man. I'll remember the name.
